Can you cook? ??

anyone else find cooking to be relaxing? There's literally days where i get into cooking moods and i will leave work pass by the super market and then go home and chef it up. Also do you guys cook food that is from your culture or do you guys mix it up. I mix it up i make Spanish food and dishes but i also make pasta and other kind of food.

Definitely.

I'll throw on some music or a podcast and just relax and get into it. Especially when I try something new.

Judging from food pics you posted in NTWT you like "blackened" chicken

Thats it for now. It might not look good to some, but it definitely taste good. Like I said, Id rather cook than to go out to eat.

Guys just a heads up, you're really not supposed to wash your protein with water before cooking it.

Just get it up to temp and you're good.

Blood makes it spoil faster though, never let it sit in blood in the fridge.

I spend just about every Sunday whipping up something nice.  Here are a few of my projects:

Bacon-wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and sharp cheddar

Beef Wellington

Burgers and salt-boiled potatoes

Slow-cooked Asian pork ribs

Beef short ribs in a red wine reduction with pancetta and cremini mushrooms

God bless me.

I can cook my *** off . Ill post pics later.

I cook every night, haven't taken pics in a while cause I've been practicing my plating

My man CF drinks AND eats good :pimp:

For washing meat, I do it cause sometimes it's sitting in blood (for steaks) or whatever salt solution (chicken) that might smell or look cloudy. Has to be bacteria. Just rinse it through the sink, pat it dry with some paper towels.

Using Fresh garlic was a game changer for me

Wouldn't have it any other way. Powdered garlic has its uses but it can't replicate the depth of flavor with the fresh stuff. The jarred minced garlic is :x

My brother wouldn't believe me. I told him that already diced up garlic in the container had too much of a strong, concentrated flavor. For some reason my dad bought a big container from Costco but I only used it a few times when I had no fresh garlic around.
