That girl's last giggle was adorable.

i listen to bomani jones podcast and he has mentioned several times over the years that a lot of people think they have a greenlight to poke fun @ asians stereotypes.

people do this kinda **** repeatedly when they have no fear of consequences and reprocussions.

the asian community appears to be on the quiet side for the most part, but if they want **** like this to stop, they better start hoopin and hollerin'.

There is significant backlash but you can't do anything when white folks refused to have Asians represented in mainstream media or in the workplace.

You should see some of the other similar crap he's done for Fox News

He's a troll

Asians may have a quiet media presence but if groups do complain that won't stop fox news and their clown employees from doing that stuff. They'll ignore us and brush it off and say we're too sensitive and continue to do it.

No, in the census India is under the Asia section. So he's considered Asian for those purposes. But he's Indian American, just like somebody may be Chinese american( but that's not for census categories)

I've only heard Americans say Indians are not Asians, while they're considered Asian throughout the rest of the world  Trash American education system or ignorance? Probably both.

Anyway, Asian people are seen as OK to make fun of without any repercussions. I always hear "Well you guys do well in school and make money; why do you care about jokes?" :smh:

What groups can't they make fun of on these shows? I know Jewish people because they'll shut down the shows and networks and African Americans / Blacks because they know how to organize and make their voices heard.

I think the problem with us Asians is that many Asians that come here have the mentality that they're outsiders that don't belong here anyway and are here just to make a living. For example, when I bring up racist things like this with my mom, she'll say something like "What can we do about it? We're not real Americans; we're here to make money, provide a life for you, and then we'll go back to our country while you enjoy life here." What this does is leave the newer generations with no real establishment to build on, but you're slowly seeing actors like John Cho, Azis Anasari, etc. speak out on these issues and give a voice to Asian Americans. Asian Americans have always been in the US, but majority of the current population are immigrants or 1st generation. It will take some time to build a strong political and media presence.
