I saw that verizon fios has a new racist news channel, newsmax. I was checkin it out a couple of weeks ago and they had some latino guy who is the head of an organization and this former U.S. Ambassador bash the black lives matter movement for a whole segment. Calling the members racist and a bunch of thugs. I was like wth is this latino guy on the white racists' side.

So around the beginning of the YouTube hype, one of first popular channels were run by Asian Americans. Dudes like Ryan Higa, KevJumba, WongFu Productions, JustKidding Films, Michelle Phan, Anna Akana, etc. got hundreds of thousands to millions of subscribers and millions of views in their videos, and their videos were different than what mainstream media loves to portray Asian Americans
We can portray our true creative selves on a popular media format instead of having to tap dance for the execs that only want to put us in limited roles and still make a good amount of money.

Basically Asians making their own content and some being successful youtube stars. Just this past year i've been getting into youtube and a fan of the Asian people behind Just Kidding. I don't watch their skits but watch their other stuff. Wong Fu is a similar channel, it's aight.

Doubtful because their audience are mainly asian( I'm generalizing. Of course they have non asian viewers). But just like how somebody like Pewdie pie, while insanely popular isn't gonna really make major waves like that because his audience is mainly kids and your not gonna get adults to start respecting streamers

We need cool, bad mofo characters to be on network shows and be in big movies.
Martial arts has always been connected to Asians and it sucks that the ufc is probably the most mainstream it has ever been but Asian mma and Asian fighters haven't been flourishing for years. Not since Pride FC died.

There are big Asian MMA leagues. They just stay in asian countries and aren't gonna be shown in the US
