50 Cent Confronts Steve Stoute At NY Knicks Game

Massacre is not at all better than GRODT...but Massacre is much better than people label it as. When you drop something as good and transcending as GRODT, it's hard to follow that up and not feel disappointed. I'd say trimming like 4-5 songs off of the Massacre may have put it on the same level as GRODT, but I can't say that convincingly.

I think the singles on The Massacre were way more mainstream than GRODT

But the deep tracks were really more hardcore rap

steve wasn't telling the truth or lying. it's true 50 hasn't been as successful recently as in the past but to say he didn't indelibly impact the culture is a lie. the reasons he cited for leaving him off the list were in direct violation with some of the names he ranked above him. he was just hurt by 50 exposing his opportunistic ways on flex's show, so this was his way of getting back at him. the resentment in steve's tone was as clear as day.

Steve also claimed that 50 never thanked him for the Rbk deal on the Breakfast club

50 had enough of that

But the question that was presented to Steve wasn't about who has impacted the culture in the last 10, 20, 30 years. It was about who is impacting the culture NOW.

Had it been the former question, then Stoute's list would have been illegitimate due to the absence of names like Biggie, Pac, LL, Krs-1, etc. This wasn't the case, however. The question asked for his opinion on the present cultural playmakers--the movers and shakers--and his answer/response was fine: Jay, 'Ye, Diddy, and Pharell (tier 1).

Right now, 50 has no business in tier 1. I'd even hesitate to put him in tier 2, but his name holds enough weight to warrant his inclusion. He's a tier 2 starter, but he's definitely an "end-of-the-bench" character on the tier 1 roster.

Accurate. Repped.

Fif lashing out. He coulda been at the Paley center (where EVERYONE was and he KNEW Steve was there and could have been there quickly) but nah he chose to see him at the Garden so cameras could flash and we could talk about him some more.

He playin' them games. Hell, his career lasted because of his ability to play them games.

Let's not pretend like this is the first time they've been in the same building since those interviews.

how are puff and dr. dre influencing rap in 2014? aside from ciroc and beats by dre, they have no impact on trends of today. those are names that hold more historical value, like 50, than present day value. he condescendingly brought 50 up and proceeded to clown him for not being successful. it's one thing to exclude him but he went out of his way to insult him.

Ciroc and Beats ARE rap now though.

Bruh.

You basically said, "Aside from two of the biggest recent trends in the hip hop community and even reaching into larger popular culture, these two guys haven't impacted any recent trends."

The mental gymanstics it must take to make that argument!!!
