I tore my ACL while playing basketball. I didn't know I tore it, was able to jog lightly 3 weeks later...I assume I shattered my meniscus playing basketball, again. I was young and stupid.
But, I also thought physical therapy was really stupid and no way it could help (again, young and stupid)...I was 17 then, I'm 25 now. My knee is in horrible shape, but I'm in the physical therapy field .
I actually just got hired as a physical therapy-aide. So again, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, take my advice and go through with your PT and strengthen the muscles surrounding your knee.
