I actually have a story about working for apple retail and a customer who said I stole her receipt or something. she was rude from the start and making a return and had a long, long receipt. I don't remember all the details at this point because it was a long time ago but I do remember her daughter vouching for her and one of the managers with all of our customers out in the open and everything.

it got heated of course. especially since I had already excepted another position at a different company making actual money. anyway, the lady ends up finding the receipt in her pocket as she's accusing me of being a thief among other things.

she turned red and I was like that's what you get you stupid *rhymes with itch*

whole stores eyes bulged.

I said what I said.

supervisor calls me in the back like you can't do that. I got on my the black man is god **** and she backed off.

nope and neither did her daughter (who I was like you and your mother are liars and its a shame that your daughter picked that up from you, etc. etc.)

daughter had to be like 18-20 too.

fwiw the whole interaction was a long, drawn out process and this lady was mad rude in front of a store full of ppl. she was very loud with it. she got what she wanted.

some of the ppl in the store smirked when she found that receipt. I saw a couple of open mouths and all that too.

actually as i'm typing it out I remember a few other details like me going what we call back of house for something in the middle of it and one of my coworkers was like you going to be ok? I was like yep, went right back out and then the above happened lol. I def didn't want anyone to take over that interaction.

its ironic that a group of ppl related to a group of ppl that stole entire countries would accuse ppl related to ppl they stole of stealing.

Niketown:

-This dude was in love with a co-worker. She only wanted to be friends. Cool, so they would hang out and chill. Still, he was persistent and still she would turn him down. So one day he goes to her house and they're chilling and playing video games. He ask her out again, she says no. He pulls out a gun shots her dead and kills himself.

-There was a corporate visit and one of the execs left his credit card on the counter after paying something. The cashier took the card and charged up a bunch of activities. I'm taking clothes, limo trips (this was when limos still had clout) etc. When they found out it was her and arrested her, as she was being cuffed, she pretended to faint.

-There was a store manager that would shame employees who stole. There was this one dude who wore BAGGY sweats all the time and what he would do is he would go to the clothing stockroom, take off his pants and put on the shorts or pants he wanted and then cover them up with his baggy sweats. He didn't realize that they were building a case against him. Niketown has hidden cameras. There are hidden cameras that Loss Prevention doesn't even know about because that feed goes straight to corporate. One night he gets caught. The store manager calls a closing meeting. During the meeting, dude that got caught is marched out the store in handcuffs in front of everyone.

-Another girl got caught stealing. After they interrogated her (on the fifth floor, next to the emergency exit was an interrogation/holding room), they cuffed and left her in front of the store. It was during closing and my friend came out and saw her and went in for a goodbye hug, she back up and slightly turned to show the cuffs. He bounced quick like "not gonna get caught up in that."

-When the CB 94 Barkley's were retro'd, we only got a handful in stock. Apparently this guy called in and ask for one to be put on hold. Dude comes in and goes to customer service on 3 (third floor) to get his shoes. They didn't have them. It was raining that day, dude turned his umbrella into a javelin and launched it at one of the managers. It left a huge hole in the wall. Dude got arrested and the manager took an impromptu vacation.

-One of the managers got put on an indefinite final because she got caught performing oral sex on a higher up in a different Niketown. They moved her to NYC. Someone on the cleaning staff walked in on her and another manager in the NYC store. There were offices above the store. She didn't see them in the act, but she said that they were very tense and short of breath looking suspicious.

Apple Store:

-So the rule with any establishment that deals with photos is if you see photos containing violence, pedophilia or cruelty to animals, you have to report it. So this dude brought in his laptop for repair. After we repaired it, we ran a scan to make sure his data was intact. I forgot how, but his iPhoto library opened up and he had child pornography. Local enforcement was informed and it was escalated to the FBI. They had us have him schedule a pick up for his computer. On the day of, there were undercover FBI agents at the Genius Bar. Once he signed off that it was his computer, they snatched him up.

-There was a genius where whenever he repaired the computer or iPod of a woman who he found attractive, he would enter in his phone number in her contacts. Fired.

-Whether your computer was repaired or not, you have 30 days to pick it up or it was considered abandoned. A lead genius would sell the abandon computers on Craigslist. He would set it up the procedure as a repair pick up for his customer. One dude who he sold it to, got hip to it and extorted him. Dude got scared and confessed to management. Fired.

-One dude had a genius (no pun) plan, but got greedy. Some of you who are familiar with the Apple Store POS (point of sale), they now use iPod touches to complete the sales. This dude would pretend to scan your computer, pretend to swipe your card and have you pretend to sign and give you the computer. I forgot how he got caught, but... fired.

-One dude was a Concierge at the Genius Bar. Those are the people who approach you with iPad and check you in for your appointment. So one day this woman came in that he was feeling. At 2am he friends her on Facebook and messages her confessing how he felt and how he felt there was a connection. She had a Facebook profile setup where you could only find her via email, which is what she use to set up her appointment. She email the message to Steve Jobs. He reached out to the VP of retail and the email (I saw the chain) simply said "This is creepy, fire him!"

-When the West 14th street store first opened up, there was no public restroom. So on the third floor there was a door that led to the corporate side, which is where a customer would use the bathroom. There was a guard on duty at that door all day. Apparently the mens room became a Craigslist hook up spot. Two guys go in, the guard was like, they've been in there for a minute. He goes in and hear's them moaning and was like "GET OUT." One of them left and with so much shade said "You just mad because you wasn't gettin any!"

You know what I just remembered something. It happened at my job but it didn't effect me so I forgot about it


At my first job we were all tight, I mean this **** was legit like high school. Like 7 dudes and 5 girls we would talk to each other all off hours and even stay late or come in early cause thats how much we all ****ed with each other. Anyway one of my boys had a thing with one of the girls their. Heavy flirting but nothing too major until one day after work she gave him a handjob after work. Anyway a few days later we were working together and said female coworker came in. It was all good just a regular slow day. Anyway she decides to watch a movie and 40 minutes later his actual girlfriend comes in.

Dont know if it was luck or what but shorty came in and walked straight into the theater my coworker was at and slapped the living daylights out of her. I mean that **** was so bad it knocked the film out of the projector. I didnt even peep till later cause it was my job to fix it, so as his girl walks out I say goodbye as usual and when I'm upstairs looking at the film I look into the theater and my coworker is gone. I come down stairs after I finish and thats when I see my boy arguing with his girl and the chick we work with running to her car. Thats when I put everything together and my other guys theyre confirmed it

-One dude brought in his computer for repair. He was like a very obnoxious Bronx character with a fly girlfriend. So I'm stocking the inventory behind the Genius Bar with spare phones and my co-worker is working with him. This dude was a character (well the Bronx description already told you that): "Yo, I can't have people going through my ish, na mean? I got valuable ish on here yo! I got movie scripts on here, like real movie studio ish nah mean! (points to his girlfriend) And I got movies with me and her on here to you know? So I need y'all to hold me down." Mind you, this is all at an audible level. Poor girl is just sitting looking stupid, but at the same time, that's who you chose ma. So I saw the name of the customer, assigned the repair to my co-worker who was mad cool and told him to let me see it when he was done with the repair. Well, he wasn't lying. There was a movie of her and him getting dirty.

You saw a lot of people's dirty movies and pictures on these computers, however, I promise you, I never saved any. I never crossed the line of putting their videos on a thumb drive or anything.



Niketown (revisited)

-Back in the day when the 5th floor was the kids floor. This guy came up to the 5th, took a bunch of kids clothes into the dressing room, masturbated and ejaculated all over them. Poor maintenance man had to pick them up.

-A Japanese tourist came in and he was trying on the little boys shorts. He was very open about it. He was part of this group where they would get together in children's clothes. Kinda like furries.

-Before they put the ban on trying on swimwear. This woman came in and tried on some bikini bottoms. Left a lot of blood on them.

Corporate IT:

-When an employee left the company (terminated or resigning) it was my job to back up their hard drives before wiping them. This allowed the company to be able to access files if needed.

If you work in corporate and you are issued a computer..... DO NOT LINK YOUR ICLOUD ACCOUNT TO IT. Here's why:

So some people would link their Apple accounts to the computers issued to them. So they can check their personal email or text with their friends without using their phone. What they didn't realize was that all the nude photos they sent to their significant others would make it's way to the Mac OS library due to link. So when I had to verify the data, I saw a lot of former co-workers in the nude. WOW. A lot of personal conversations about each other among each other were stored on the computers. Again, I never copied any of that for myself. I just left it.

-A lot of VIPs would drive in through the freight, where we would get our shipment. 45 bought Ivanka a Ferrari and had it delivered. It was very beautiful. The car.

-Working in the stockroom had its perks. People would stash sneakers. meaning I would take a shoe off the shelf that I wanted and hide it until I was ready to buy. When I first got there (2001) there were Infrared 6s, the 16 lows before they came out (Execs would send them down the customer service tube).

-The customer service tube was like heaven. I remember one time someone returned supreme dunk lows in the black cement color way. I hear they **** a lot amounst themselves(hospital employees in general) Some times in the hospital.

Worked for a large homecare agency in NYC. We had a team of interpreters that worked with us as well and since I worked downtown, LES, chinatown mostly, I got to know all of the chinese interpreters. Noticed one of the female ones was pregnant but didn't think much of it. Turns out the father was one of the social workers that also did visits. Not that difficult to understand how it could happen, you spend alot of "downtime" together traveling between patients etc and tbh alot of these buildings and areas you can get away with doing grime.

Had another coworker that was caught going to grad classes DURING work hours. The company was already paying/reimbursing her for school, so IDK wth got into her thinking she could get away with that. Generally they leave you alone as long as the work gets done but thats essentially stealing time from them.

Definitely one of the favorite jobs ever tho.
