Last day open at their Lincoln/Foster location. They open up on Montrose in a couple weeks.

I was surprised to see oil in water was only "controversial" on the Italian index

I guess it's better than adding oil after the pasta is out of the water
 
From my understanding you aren’t supposed to add oil cause it makes the pasta slick and prevents the sauce from sticking to the pasta. Like putting a coating on the noodles.
I was about to ask why you wouldn't add oil... But this makes sense...

How to prevent pasta from sticking together before saucing though.? :nerd:

not sure but i never have this problem. maybe because i like the pasta al dente...?
i'd assume the softer you cook your noodles the more they will stick together. maybe there's a balance there where you can put a little oil if you tend to cook your pasta longer.

Maybe that's it. Never had that issue or thought much about it

I'll usually remove the pasta from the boiling water pre-al dente and finish in the sauce
