Mort tweeted Goddell and Smith made a lot of progress today and the NFLPA with vote Monday and likely ratify.  Free agency will begin Wed.  No hard knocks per peter king though.

The players are going to vote on the CBA proposal Monday.

If they accept the deal the NFL will be open for business on Wednesday.

Nothing written in stone yet, but they're expected to recertify Monday. If they do, everything opens on Wednesday. Everything.

Under terms of the new rookie salary system, first-round picks will reportedly see a decrease of 40-50 percent from last season's contracts.
The first losers of the next CBA are Cam Netwon and player agents. The winners are established veterans. Newton won't sniff the $42 to $50 million in guarantees received by Sam Bradford and Matthew Stafford the past two years. On a positive note, he was playing football for free last season ... in theory.
