True.  But the amount of people who did number 1 pales in comparison to the amount that did number 2.

lol it depends on what perspective you're looking at this from.

A higher percentage of black people voted for Obama because he was black than white people voted against him because he was white. If the same percentage of white people were to vote against Obama because he was black, he would have never become the president of the united states.

In other words, Obama needed white votes to win. If every single white person voted against him because he was black he would have never won.

matter of fact, a lot of ultra liberal/ younger white people also voted for obama because he was "black". no one in that election was exempt from subjectivity.

Not true. A higher percentage of white people could be voting against Obama due to him being black then him actually  garnering black votes on the same reasoning -soley based on the fact that blacks didn't vote for Obama because he was black. Black people always vote Democratic, have so for almost 50 years now.

Young people voted Obama in, no race.

good point-black people always vote democrat...what stopped so many black people from voting for hillary?

Politicians have tactics to distract voters from the real issues that affect them.

For republicans-its play the freedom, guns, handouts, religion card...to poor people in the southern belt who don't benefit at all from their policies.

Obama's campaign also had certain tactics that led to people voting subjectively. It's whatever tho, it was either him or Palin.

Millions more Latino's and Asian's voted for Hillarys, Not to mention White's. Also check who blacks were voting for in the first primaries. Hillary by far. California ect.... Remember Hillary never lost the primary.

She conceeded for the sake of the party. Obama had a movement, a sure lock.

Hillary tried to play off her husbands glory with the black community and failed horribly. Don't knock Obama for picking up the pieces.

Let's not shy away though, you stated he needed white votes to win, which in a way is true, but it is no way the same as saying more blacks voted for Obama than white against...Those are not correlated in anyway.

I'm not knocking obama for doing anything, he did what he had to do. to win. My point is people don't vote objectively....it's against our nature and politicians play into it.

i still stand by my statement.....but a better example would have been to show the overwhelming support by blacks for obama over hilary. and on the flipside the overwhelming support for hillary by latinos (not sure about asians). i think white people went either way. However things played out Obama had the lock for the black vote, there was more variability in other races in how they voted.

she conceded after he secured the simple majority of super delegate endorsements necessary to secure the nomination.
fun fact: obama earned more of the white vote (total and ratio) in the 2008 general election than kerry did in the 2004 general election.
