Funny thing is, JR made the weight and was in great shape (for his standards). He just flat out couldn't handle the power or speed of Canelo. I was waiting for Canelo to pull the Mcgregor/Alvarez and just put his gloves behind his back and stand there smh.

I heard from one of the youtube boxing channels that that they were making a big deal out of Chavez Jr. reportedly sparring for 12 rounds for the FIRST time ever. Most boxers do 15 rounds in preparation for a fight.

Unless Ward had a legit emergency he should be reamed about this. Be a professional and do the things you are obligated to do. As much flack as Kovalev gets for being a ****, he showed up to this faceoff and broke camp for it.

Really he should lose money considering the fight is a PPV and promotion is of the essence.
