You do whatever you want. Me personally, I wouldn't rock another city's kicks unless I got a really good deal on them. I copped those af1's but I'm from NYC and that NYC swoosh logo was a major selling point for me personally. It took me back to the Uptowns in the 90's that we used to wear.

picked up some 1997 highs off of Instagram last month.. extremely pleased. af1_gods with the hookup. really puts the modern leather quality into perspective.

Exact model is air force 1 high sc. Box is a replacement

Feels like the clowns 'designing' AF1 colourways and materials have never ever worn a pair of AF1s in their life. If anything the top part of the toe box needs the thickest, full grain REAL leather you can find and maybe you can get away with the rat/plastic leather on the other areas.

Even the leatherette/vinyl that Nike has fooled some of you cats into raving about is no good on the top panel of the AF1 toebox.
