Effie is the best one for Tariq. Probably the only one he can truly be close with and be his true self.

Lauren is the type of female his dad would want him to be with but that dinner at their house shows that class will always be a issue there. Even though he grew up in a penthouse, he will always be looked down upon because of his proximity to the streets.

Diane doesn't really have an identity outside of her family and getting her phone taken away every episode. She can learn how to establish herself as an individual from Riq. she got a lot to learn from him even though her family position puts her over him.

The action scene where he was in the layup line....REALLY bothered me. Like, they couldn’t have gotten a ***** who can actually dribble and finish at a middle school level?

The layup line scene was hilarious. He could have at least practiced his game since he is playing an athlete, that's the least he can do is not look goofy when he runs.
