Which one do you have or recommend?

I have a 55 samsung LED that I bought last year and I need something that will make it sound better. The TV speakers are horrible but I expected that from a thin tv. Im looking into sound bars because I have no space for a full sound system.

Which one do you recommend?

My living room has High ceilings, maybe thats why the speakers sound like crap. I was watching avengers last night and the picture looked amazing. The Volume was up to 70 ( :x ) and I could not hear ****. So Im hoping a sound bar will do the trick. Samsung soundbars have low rating. Sony has nice ratings and BOSE is expensive.

I got this Sony sound bar with my Samsung 46" and really love it.

To be honest I would have gotten a Samsung but I heard it was more difficult to sync it with the PS3.
I am more satisfied with with the sound bar, then again it was for my bedroom so it was more than suitable for my needs.

Thanks, my question to you is,

I have more than ONE unit that I run HDMI off of, this soundbar only has one. How does that work? I need at least 4 HDMI outputs.

It has 3 HDMI input to the sub (which also acts like an entertainment system where you can swtich from one input to the other) iirc. I have my Fios box, Boxee and PS3/360 attached to it all at once and all via HDMI.

I have a Sony HT-CT150 sound bar system paired with my 55" LG. It works great for what I need out of a sound system. I don't need anything too powerful because I live in an apartment. The levels are good and the bass is perfect. The subwoofer acts as a receiver so you can connect multiple sources with just one HDMI cord going to your TV. I would recommend you look into that.

I have something similar to that. My friend does as well. Very good unit and it sounds great with movies. Has all the cool features like lowering commercials and stuff.

I don't use it with HDMI though. I use it with an optical cord. Optical to dish receiver and optical to the PS3. My unit doesnt have HDMI, the new ones do.

I have a Bose surround sound system in my shore house. Its great and all, but I don't think its THAT much better than my Yahmaha system so I doubt their sound bars would be THAT much better than others.

??? I have the Samsung hooked up to a PS3. Never had to change anything. There is the AV sync function incase it doesn't match up, but I've ONLY ever had to use it for like ESPN which lags sometimes for some reason on my tv.

Well like you said yours is optical, mine is connected via HDMI so there might be a difference? I'm not really good with technology so little hiccups like that bugs me and with the Sony to PS3, there was no problem connecting at all and it synced with my Samsung TV w/o a problem as well. I always try to take the easy route because I know that if there are steps to get something to connect and work, I will likely forget it by the time there is a power outage and everything resets back, It'll be like starting over.

Yeah i'm not sure dude. The only thing I had to do with the PS3 was change the audio out to optical.

I was paranoid before that I was having a syncing issue during Uncharted 3 but I realized it was just the animation and not me because the sound effects were spot on.

Could be like you said though, your setup vs mine. Like I said, I've only really used AV sync with certain sports and a few channels that don't sync up as well, but its a pain in the ***** to constantly change it back and forth. You can't save the settings for one channel, then something else on another so I usually just leave it as is.

Here is the deal with sound bars I work for a high end audio visual company and have personally demoed almost every available model on the market. The best available model is the Bowers and Wilkins but its too expensive $2000. Bose is a ripoff for what you're getting. Trust me go with the energy soundbar. They make a few models but the one with the best value and sound is the $599.99 version. It sounds just as good as sound bars that cost $1500. You can find it a best buy or online. Plus it has a wireless subwoofer and you can hook up your iphone or android phone to it also. Pm me for any questions.

 bose... for the price of that soundbar you could get yourself a decent 2.1 system that could blow that out of the water.

whats your price range because that is a huge factor... this one sounds nice
