If you wanna put a ring on that fam y'all need to figure that out
How much would you guys be willing to take on? My buddy is taking on 45ish but they have two kids already.
I always think of this now, love does crazy things.

My ex made a huge deal about it...
Was like, "Hey we need to talk, something I need to tell u..."
I'm like ohhh no, shes preggers.
Turns out she owed 45k from student loans lol.
Love? My man, you supposed to be the white Bill Bellamy! In all seriousness, I think about this all the time. I don't know how some of my workers who make a lot less than me afford their lifestyles. I'm around your age and I ponder as well....marriage, house together, kids, etc. all cost a lot of money! How much would you guys be willing to take on? It's wild because I have this conversation with my older successful friends, most of which didn't get educated formally. I agree. The sad part is some of them can't get jobs after undegrad, and go back to grad school 'to feel productive' just to get more into debt.I'll be making decent amount as a journeyman, but I still wouldn't even consider anything over 20K unless she were to be making as much as I am.
For a lot of people they reallty don't have much of a choice but to get into debt by crazy amounts by the time they graduate.
College is such a scam.
That's a big deal to some, man. If you guys get married, that's your debt as well
I know a girl who's doing well for herself (good looking and career oriented) who got dumped twice because she has a $50-60k debt and the two guys didn't want to take that on.

To be honest, I have no idea. This girl I was dating...I was willing to do a lot for her that I never thought I would for a girl. The girl I'm with now...not so much.

Wife that sugar mama jkYeah, my ex makes 62kish but that 45k is still going to take FOREVER to pay off.
Hahahahahahaha! I've had a great run, I do admit it, but at the end of the day I want that wife/ kids/ house etc.
This was the first girl I was thinking I could take that 45k on for. I remember even telling her that we would handle it together
It's so funny because the girl I'm seeing now is BALLING. Parents have Lambos, live in the same neighborhood as Kobe and most consider her one of the hottest I've been with (humble brag she has 65k followers on IG). Girl is IN LOVE with me and I would be set for life but my heart just isn't in it. I'm out here, mid 20's, making good money with no real debt.
I've never heard the debt be a game changer for someone, but I can see it definitely being a deterrent.

Mybad read your post wrong.
I wouldn't. But you never know someone's situation.
Cars are awful money pits.
I remember the tuition reimbursement decades ago were so relaxed. I would hear stories of dudes working as blue collar employees for Boeing and the likes and going to law school on a free rideMy wife has 50K in student loan debt
If my company didn't have tuition reimbursement I'd never go back to school
It's not that bad, the people I went to school with are just buying a lexus or jeep or camaro or something, not like they're buying maseratis or something
Why would you buy a brand new car straight out of school? I see a lot of people do that, its the biggest mistake you can make. Just adding more unnecessary debt on top of your student loans.
College is a scam if you get taken advantage of or make horrible decisions before, during, and after its all done.
If you work the system and plan ahead it's all good
A 30K car payment is $500/mo (60 mo loan not one of them 80mo+ loans), thats not that bad? On top of student loan payments which are at least $300/mo and that's on the low end (between 25K-30K in student loans). So you are looking at $800-$1000/mo in bills and haven't even factored in food, rent, cell phone, car insurance, going out, etc. This mindset is why people are living paycheck to paycheck.
