I was on the train today going to work when this little brat was giving his mother such a hard time. He wouldn't put his socks on when it's about 6 degrees outside in Boston. He was giving his mother such a hard time that he laid on the ground screaming at her saying he doesn't want to go to head start. All of a sudden, he stands up and starts hitting her!
Everybody on the train is shocked to see this and the first reaction was that he should be disciplined. I know when I was young when I was acting up in public, my mom would smack me square in the face and I would just shut up after that.
I know nowadays society is not for disciplining kids physically but I just wanted to get a thought on this issue from parents and non-parents.
