Kobe Bryant on the John Thompson show was asked whether he would take Brandon Roy or Kevin Durant.

"Roy 365 days 7 days a week. Roy has no weaknesses in his game."

Roy is this generation's Mitch Richmond. Doesn't put up monster numbers and not many casual fans think of him as one of the elite, but the NBA players who have played against him have enormous respect for him and his game.

But Kevin Durant is such a nice and humble soul. He will fervently uplift his teammates to heights unforeseen through random acts of kindness. He is swell. He's him, he does him and he chills. Doesn't that count for something?

Happy he said it though.

Ron Artest said himself that Roy was the toughest opponent he's ever had to guard. And that's somebody that guarded Jordan, Kobe and LeBron.

Kevin Durant isn't overrated per say, but imo he's a glorified chucker who benefits from getting some favorable whistles, has a "good attitude," and does little else.
