I had to do the same. Threw some force fields in them and that helped with the deadspace. Biggest worry for me going a whole size up was the creasing on the plastic upper since more dead space = a lot more creasing imo. I dont care about creasing, but i would imagine eventually it will crack 🤷🏻‍♂️

I can confirm that these do rub against the heel. The part where the pull tab attaches to the shoe is thick stitching and really rubs my Achilles raw. I am not sure if this is a matter of breaking them in, but as I wore them more throughout the day, the rubbing became less. Hoping I just need...
