I never thought I would see a season like this Cesc plays for Jose now and Xabi will be playing for Pepe. Never forget it actions not words when it comes to Footballers

One of the reasons I was so mind blown about soccer when i first started following it was how quick a player can just leave for another team lol. like you always have rumors but just a week ago xabi leaving rm was just not thinkable. Fast foward a few days later and boom

Xabi to Bayern?  I guess the offer was too good to pass for RM.  I don't like that move for RM i feel like Xabi is a heart and soul type guy for RM.  I guess it will be on Kroos Modric and Khedira to hold down the midfield now.  Or maybe it clears up a little room for Rues?

thought he was half kidding though.. but trying to drive his point.. which is normal but not in german culture.

and with no suprise.. Di Maria will be our new 7... :smokin

Yeah, I think it was meant in jest even though Pep had that "Pep" face. Looked like Mueller took it as such.

I like the Xabi move to Bayern. Still goes to a team that has CL hopes, odds on favorite to win the domestic league, most likely get more playing time, & earn even more money to help retire later more comfortably... Can't beat that...

Really surprised Bayern were willing to pay 10 a year for Alonso but not pay 1 or 2 more to keep Kroos, safe to say then Pep played a role in him leaving?

Kroos was shown the door for not buying into Pep's philosophy... Mandzukic too.

If this was true, why wasn't Robben and Claudio Pizarro both soon the door? Both complained about the philosophy. Even Franck has at times.

Yeah I dont buy that either.

Pretty sure Kroos just wanted a better shot at First team action and RM prolly offered him THAT.

Kroos has always had the rep of having a huge ego & being a ball hog.

There were also rumblings dating back to last fall that Kroos & Mandzukic had problems with Pep that continued onto late in the campaign when Bayern began to falter. All the pundits were saying you could see the two having quit playing on the pitch the few times they did get to play.

I'm not sure what you heard about Robben but he's come out publicly several times supporting Pep especially after the CL loss to Madrid.

Really random but I follow Real on IG and there's one pic that was posted here where Gareth Bale looked gigantic

Weird that he's never looked that big before or again. Dude looked like he was on that Bane venom.

I think you're referring to one incident with Pep and the two mentioned players. I've only seen one report claiming Kroos to have a huge ego and that was in reference to Pep's rotation policy. As far as Robben, Yes he defended Pep for the CL loss to Madrid, which was mostly Pep's fault, but there were examples of annoyance at Pep. Articles, Benching, video showing Robben ignoring pep.

I don't think Kroos left because of Pep, I believe it was an Upstairs matter that made him leaving but I find it interesting you defend Pep through and through when their are examples of him being in the wrong.

Where was Pep wrong though? Not defending anything, just putting the conjecture out there for a more rounded discussion. At the end of the day, we don't know anything that went on behind closed doors.

One has to take the facts. Kroos didn't look like he wanted to play any longer at the back half of the last campaign. Paying him the salary he might've been asking for really wasn't that big an issue for a club like Bayern, I mean look what they're going to pay in terms of wages for a 32 year old Xabi.

At the end of the day, Kroos left for a big pay check to a big team playing the style of ball that's more suited for him.

For as much as some of you like Gex think I defend Pep, you guys like pissing on him as much as possible... :rolleyes
