Me either, but copper is a big deal to the state of Arizona, and they'll probably only wear em once or twice.

Another rumor is that we'll be wearing pro combats at home against either SC or ASU. Rumor is grey unis with red helmets. Makes sense because we have white and blue helmets and no red helmets yet, so I doubt they'd add copper lids without having red first. Not sure what's up with the grey tho if that happens. The platinum elite jerseys in bball already made us look like tOSU, enough of that.
Michigan-Ohio State tiff continues to burn after another threat
By Bryan Fischer | College Football Recruiting Blogger

[img]http://images.maxpreps.com.edg...o extinguish the issue but instead, it seems Michigan recruits are fanning the flames of what has been an increasingly heated rivalry with Ohio State fans (all puns intended).

Late last week, Wolverines pledge and Peoria (Ill.) offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman made the rounds on the internet by setting an Ohio State recruiting letter on fire and posting a picture of it on Twitter. On Tuesday, the four-star lineman told Yahoo! Sports that he received death threats over the stunt.

Not content to let the story die out, fellow Michigan commit Kyle Bosch, right, took to Twitter to stick up for his future teammate.

OSU fans giving @LoganTillman threats on your way to his house make a stop by mine and I'll show you what a real death threat is #bringagun

Wis the recruit would let their play do the talking on the field... No need to acknowledge loser fans that live and die for a college football program... Browneye fans did it with Kalis last year as well... Seems to be common occurrence but I still hate seeing the big talk over the interwebz.... Do it on the field or handle it like you claim.
Ohio State-Georgia series canned
Updated: May 31, 2012, 4:17 PM ET
By Adam Rittenberg | ESPN.com

Ohio State has canceled a home-and-home series with Georgia because of the upcoming Big Ten/Pac 12 scheduling partnership.

Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity told reporters Thursday at the SEC spring meetings that Ohio State backed out of an agreement to play the Bulldogs in 2020 and 2021. The Big Ten/Pac 12 partnership, which ultimately will have 12 intra-conference matchups, is set to begin in 2017, although Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith told ESPN.com the school likely won't begin participating until 2018.

The schools didn't have a contract for the 2020-21 games, but rather an agreement to try and schedule games for those years. The agreement would be null and void if dates to play were not reached by June 30, 2012. Ohio State sent Georgia a letter in May informing Georgia it would not be able to confirm dates, effectively nullifying the agreement.

Ohio State typically plays one major conference team outside the Big Ten per year, and sometimes two.

I'm sure the video was a reenactment of what actually happens at colleges with student athletes

Rumors making their way around FSU boards that UF was involved in a test cheating situation. Specifically the track team. Football was mentioned but nothing concrete. Pure rumor at this point , no idea if it really has legs.

Having been out of the country for almost 2 months now I haven't kept up with any news at all recently.

Serious talks of FSU to the BIG12, that's cool

UCLA football scholarship for 'Diddy' Combs' son

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Justin Combs, the 18-year-old son of hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, will attend UCLA on a $54,000 football scholarship.

It is one of 285 athletic scholarships the university hands out every year.

It comes at a time when student fees are rising and a year after the university had to use more than $2 million in student fees to cover an athletic department funding gap.

Money for Combs' scholarship will not affect need-based scholarships awarded by the university, UCLA spokesman Ricardo Vazquez told the Los Angeles Times.

"There is a big separation between financial aid based on need and how that's funded and how athletic scholarships are funded and awarded to students," he said, noting that athletic scholarships come from athletic department ticket sales, corporate partnerships, media contracts and private donations.

The newspaper said Justin Combs defended taking the scholarship on Twitter: "Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! ... PERIOD."

The senior Combs is worth an estimated $475 million and gave his son a $360,000 Maybach car for his 16th birthday, the Times said.

Justin Combs, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound defensive back, graduated from New Rochelle Iona Prep in New York with a 3.75 grade point average. He also had scholarship offers from Illinois, Virginia and Wyoming.

If needy students are unaffected, there is no problem, said Emily Resnick, outgoing president of UCLA's Undergraduate Students Association. "If his athletic abilities deserve it, then more power to him."

Joelle Gamble, who will graduate from the university in a few weeks, said the scholarship could be considered an investment since UCLA would probably benefit by the celebrity Combs could bring to the school.

"It's how college athletics works. This is how we're going to get money," she said.

A few years ago, former Southern California basketball coach Tim Floyd said fame was a factor when he offered a scholarship to rapper Master P's son, Romeo, for the 2008-2009 season. But Romeo left the team in 2010 after playing just 19 minutes in two seasons as a Trojan.

Someone has to explain why it should be expected of Justin to forego his merit-based scholarship when PLENTY of other student athletes who come from money are left alone.

Sounds like Jaylon Smith will commit to ND today... Kid is a beast for sure... Glad he stayed away from Columbus
