Might see a few. Nowhere near as many as Haiti.

Chile is far more superior than Haiti as far as money, building structures, etc.

yep, their economy is pretty strong. Dont really need much help at the moment

The live feed in Hilo right now is pretty crazy, the water line is fully receding, which means more water will come in... I am on oahu on high ground so I will be safe (hopefully)... I will keep you guys posted

Doubt it
Chile had a national relief plan, so i doubt they will need help from other countries.
They have history of quakes. Hopefully the government is competent enough to have good infrastructure.

If you read a science book in grade school, you know why these things happen.  They have been happening for thousands of years.

Death Toll up to 147 last I heard, which is unfortunate, but nowhere near as bad as what happened to the people of Haiti.  Chile is better prepared both in building codes, infrastructure, economy and a relief plan.

Imagine how strong the aftershock earthquakes are going to be.

We are definitely living in trying times, death toll now up to 708. My heart goes out to those in Chile, and any NTers that have family there.
