Had a few pairs of the OG's back in '98 when I was in college and the 2020 version definitely ain't OG-like. Issa retro for sure.

Not only is the leather on the tongue and toe much stiffer and less genuine leather than the originals, but the tongue is noticeably larger and taller, in turn making the jumpman look smaller.

Ntm, the visible lining at the top of the tongue smh

All good though. Happy af to have em again after 10 years.

For those that ordered from FTA
My order was stuck on fulfillment processing until today(coming from kansas)
I received tracking from ups earlier this morning saying order processed ready for ups
Then all of a sudden
Got an origin scan at 5:30pm at a hub south of me and now i got a arrival scan in my city at 11:48pm
There's no scheduled delivery day but by the looks of it,it could be possibly be delivered today unless they give it to usps
This is the weirdest tracking i've ever seen
So those who ordered from FTA there is still hope

I do wish the tongues were shorter. Sort of silly the way they are.
That toe box in your first pic is sadly, I personally believe, why we get what we get now. Years of complaints here and elsewhere at the time about creases. You get what you sew, sneakerfools LOL

The most noticeable thing I noticed from the OG was the big 90s bulk it had. Had a cool look of the times that is lost on the new retros. The navy was also darker and I think it worked better than the new brighter tone. The real soft leather was just icing on the cake!

Here are the OG non-low 13’s (latest remastered releases) minus the playoff’s since those are not yet remastered. My 2011 pair are beat and they need to drop a new one soon.

Pending charges drop all the time. Not a sign of cancellation. The initial charge is a temporary authorization. Could still get canceled obviously but don't read into that as a reason.

I feel like I write that in every thread. Credit card usage isn't that common on here it seems. Not a dig at you or anything, just an observation.

Credit card authorizations usually stick for 48 hours and fall off until shipping starts. My kids footlocker charge is no longer there, but the order still shows it being fulfilled. Let's be patient as this pandemic and riots have slowed down everything.
