To each their own. I know dudes in here who think bootcut jeans still look good so it’s a matter of taste.
Consider it a lesson learned. For leather uppers even socks will work as I used socks for my BC3's when ironing the toe. But when it comes to Durabuck (or Nikebuck if you will) a shoe tree is definitely required. Socks won't keep the toe completely and firmly filled and they also won't retain their shape under the heat and pressure being put on the toe compared to a shoe tree. On a side note, despite the creases they look nice. Slanted toe and grey rand lines really do complete these.

Yup yup. I really don’t care about the creases tho ima be wearing them anyway.

Here's some more comparsion pics I took of my other swapped 1999 pair, and the 2019's.

Both are size 12's.

I know y'all are tired of me, but I want y'all to understand what I meant by the wing placement, still being off. You can't tell in this first pic really, but this small detail is very crucial to the entire shoe been off.

You can't tell in the pic above, on the literal sides, but take a look at this pic of the medial sides...

It's VERY noticeable.

^^^^^^^

Y'all see how it's perfectly centered on the 1999's, but it veers a little too far to the right, on the 2019's. I know it seems minor, and 90% of this board will say I'm complaining, but this little detail throws the whole look, and sleekness off. This is also because the 2019, is still a few centimeters short. Also, the ankle collar is super narrow, but longer on the 2019's.

The CDP's (2008's) & 2019's.

VVVVV

20190510_004345.jpg

It's SUPER ****** up that the CDP's were low top's, and SUPER ATROCIOUS, but the heel tab is wide, like the 1999's.

:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

Nonetheless, the 2019's are still nice, and also a PERFECT example of increasing the height on a sneaker that should've had it in the first place. All flaws, and Gentry trolling aside, I still need 4 more pairs.

What’s good y’all, if you don’t wanna go through the problems of dealing with paint. Trying using a white crayola color pencil. I just got done doing mine and I’m happy with the results.
First pic is the final result. Second pic left shoe is without and right shoe is after I applied it. Took only 10 mins to do. They should hold up.

I told y’all. Paint is over doing it. Colored pencil or pastel! In this case, a crayon pencil. I’d even use a grey crayon pencil. Yep, that’s it. Grey crayon for the win IMO. You’re welcome. Now somebody try it and let’s see the results.
