You just don't get it.

If you think thats why people wanna ignore you, you wrong. 9 outta 10 times you hit that "reply" button, you speak/type pure nonsense. You addnothing to most threads, you just fill it with doo doo.

For those of y'all that don't think The Blueprint is a classic...what the basis behind thatopinion?

I'ma just stop entering Jay-Z threads in general, I'll admit, I hate dude with a passion. Makes me disgusted to be from BK.

You can go back to discussing how great the Blueprint is now..

I appreciate it. I just have a few rhetorical questions before you jet: Why choose to be amongst people with obviously different tastes than you if you couldjust as easily be amongst those with similar tastes? Why choose to be amongst a majority that hold your views in the minority?

So y'all just don't get a "classic feel" from the album or it just doesn't satisfy your musical tastes...is that what you're saying?

For me something about it is underwhelming... like the subject matter is soooooo

to me

The production overshadows him on all but like 5 songs to me. Maybe its just me tho

I mean on some real, I guess you had to be there. If that wasn't an important tim in you life, I don't see whythe music would be any different. But that year was one of maybe 3 years out of my 20 that mean the most. Like I said, it's the most important CD of my 20years.. but I can name a small few that sound more "crisp" today as far as pure rap skill goes. I'd give RD the edge over BP in that category, for starters. But RD doesn't have the same larger than life feel to it IMO. Maybe that's what it is. I still remember that whole year (school year)being DEFINED by ONE blue tape. That's pretty much the definition of classic to me. For all of 7th grade, The Blueprint was the theme music.

There's 3-4 songs I just find incredibly mediocre.

I like BIG & all, but how was he the greatest of ALL TIME when he was not even dropping the best albums of his era?

I don't really think BIG or Pac are overrated... In comparison to who?? I don't think you can name 2 people in a genre that were able to do AS much asthose to in AS little time... Then die In what MAY have been their prime... What genres has that?? 2 greats die within 6 months of eachother and change thelandscape of a billion dollar business...

So when people say they're overrated I always wonder what they base it on, they died being 2 of the BIGGEST rappers at that time... So why woudlnt they bebigger today?? In a culture as young as hip hop we should be proud that they're held in the respects they are... You can name ANY rapper pre 96... Theywernt bigger than Pac or BIG at that time... Hip hop has never been the same since they passed... I don't believe in coincidence...

The if Nas died after Illmatic or It Was Written he wouldn't be where BIG and Pac because he wasn't there in 96... Ready To Die sold more copes thanIWW, so did All Eyes On Me, so he would just be a dead ninja with a dope album like... Pun & Big L... You guys are maybe failing to realize BIG and Pacwere both larger than life figuires when they were here... Its only natural for them to turn into these martyrs... I don't think Nas ever touched the levelof popularity they both had... To this day No Nas, or Jay album has touched the #s of Life After Death or All Eyez On Me... Its not like people are just buyinthis #%*% cause they feel sorry for them... The music is amazing...

I'll be the FIRST to say Pac & BIG deserve more credit... They laid the templete for a lot of these cats careers, they reformed the way hip hop isviewed by the world... They took the game to another level...

I'm on NT anyway, plus a few knowledgeable cats here make posting worth it.

_ I don't think any rap album will ever touch those sales wise... both of them %+$$ went DIAMOND... THATS 10 MILLION SOLD.

Thats an exclusive list to be apart of right there.

I wouldn't bring Pac into this discussion, never mind how I feel about him.

People see red when they talk about that man.

Doesn't Em have 2 diamond albums....? I know for a fact MMLP is, and I know TES sold something like 19 million worldwide but I'm not sure if it sold 10mil in the states. Either way, gross.

See thats the thing... you really can't categorize Em with other rappers in terms of sales because... well... you know.

But still that is disgusting
