I appreciate it. I just have a few rhetorical questions before you jet: Why choose to be amongst people with obviously different tastes than you if you could just as easily be amongst those with similar tastes? Why choose to be amongst a majority that hold your views in the minority?

I'm on NT anyway, plus a few knowledgeable cats here make posting worth it.

Seeing as how this album made me like Jay, yes it's classic. I was a straight up Nas fan and this album just blew me away that i couldn't even fronton it. I'm shocked people think this album is overrated but to each is own.

The album is a personal favorite as it along with Stillmatic and Word Of Mouf were the soundtrack to my senior year in high school.

As a grown man the albums holds up well but not quite classic status. Like my dude before stated, the subject matter of most of the song's is eh...

The production is flawless tho' but....

co-sign with seymore and n33f about the production over powering his lyrics. imo there's a bit too many skipable tracks to be considered a"classic".
i also think it isn't the most well rounded album because illmatic and the infamous to me are just that more well rounded compared to BP. my favorite songson BP are u don't know, takeover, and lyrical exercise. i can't stay izzo and jigga that _

that's not something I can really argue it's a matter of opinion
but dude was the King Of NY no dispute and more or just as successful as any of his peers with just as much critical acclaim

RTD is a great album, but it's not the best music of its time. Period............ Tell me either of his records are the albums of their time. Go ahead.
