Boy Meets World sequel

Well that would never have happened, so this is as good as it gets.

The show was always a coming of age sitcom, it started when they were kids (hence, Boy Meets World).. having them in their 30s would do more to "ruin" the show than this kind of sequel. Just because some of the audience grew up with the characters and the show, doesn't mean it would be any good if it reflected all our adult lives.

It was a show for kids and teens at a certain time in their lives. This is pretty cool to be honest and BMW was probably my favorite show growing up (next to The Simpsons). The reruns will always be there for the old fans to go back and enjoy... and now more people can enjoy the same series just for a different audience.

Its going to be surreal watching this show with my wife(also a fan of the show) and daughters.

Topanga goes to Cal State Fullerton (Where I graduated from) and lives about a mile from my pad. Beasts, do ur thing.

I like the idea of them being adults dating and/or living life before that family life but obviously ABC would not have done that, closet thing you would have got is if Savage was in a completely new sitcom and the writers referenced BMW in an ambiguous way and at times directly referenced it for lulz (like that one ep for Barney in HIMYM referencing Doogie Howser). Things were tied up pretty well at the end of the show though. I mean they were all in their early 20s and married if I remember right.

Corey's brother getting his own show would've been funny though.

Stupid Eric in the college years were priceless. Took his idiocy to another level, he better be making cameos in this show. I believe he still does a lot of voiceworks for cartoons at Disney, DC Comics, Nick, etc...

Not feelin Cory bein a teacher like Feeny.....then again, antics should ensue if he does. I wouldn't mind it as long as they live in New York, we have a lot of the old cast come back to have supporting roles. The daughter has a best friend like Cory had and they make references to the old show i.e. Pennbrook, Harley, Chubbies, etc.

It could work but I'd much more rather ABC Family or something pick this up, more room w/ the story

i hope they don't ruin it & make it a show like iCarly or any of those shows.

i liked Lauren "mountain girl" :o better than Topanga. Episode where Cory "twisted his ankle" & spent the whole night talking to her.

i was watching re-runs on MTV and Eric always went out with some hot chicks.

That was when they ruined Eric. He went from a Super Cool Ladies Man with brains to a brain dead monkey. His only role in the later years was to say a bunch of idiotic one liners and leave. That's all he did.

Also, Ben Savage and Daniel Fishel are confirmed to return as the girl's parents. Hopefully the other actors return.

I liked his characters in the later years, it was funnier when Corey and Shawn got more serious with their bromance and Topanga being a prude. It was a good change of pace and he still delivered the most laughs.

That wedding episode where he replaced Shawn as the best man was non-stop laughter when I first saw it and all because of the stupid Eric.

Include Minkus too. Make him Corey's boss or something. Bring back Frankie too.

Linda's mad sexy now :smokin. I remember her being hot since those Scooby Doo movies.

That's what I'm afraid of. Will Disney care enough to serve fans of the original? Or are they just using it as an excuse/hook to introduce another one of their cookie-cutter laugh track shows

Sadly, this is to be expected (though I hope I am wrong). The days of cheesy and corny stories with a lesson in the end like the OG or Family Matters sitcoms (with a signature sobbing song as the protagonist learns that weeks life lesson in the end) just won't work these days. It'll likely be just some crappy hi-jinx type of story week in and week out like those other stupid Disney shows.

I'm hopeful though that it'll be at least watchable.

Looks like at this time, no Shawn.

At this point, I have no official involvement in Girl Meets World. There might be a chance to see some of the BMW cast in a guest spot, and I think it would be nice to find out where our characters have been all these years. But Girl Meets World will be, and I think it should be, it's own show. It will be about Cory and Topanga, their daughter, and a new set of characters.
