Here's the story.

I sold some Jordan XIII playoffs on eBay.

I don't usually accept returns (which is stated in my auction "No Returns"), but the buyer stated he just wanted to try them on. He gave me this whole story how he is new to the Jordan world and wasn't sure about his size. He stated that he already had a pair of 9.5 Jordan XIII White/Red which were too big for him, so he was wondering if a 9 would be good. I suggested he go to his nearest footlocker and try on a similar style in a 9 before wearing or trying. He stated he couldn't, so with hesitation I gave him the okay to try it on.

Yesterday, he calls me to verify he has received the shoes and he loves them, minus one minor crease (If you can call it that) on the right shoe. He even stated he was at footlocker purchasing force fields for his new shoes. I told him to take some pictures of the "crease" and I would refund him back some money if it was warranted. The way he was blowing me up at work made it seem like it was something major! I even asked him if he bought the shoes for casual wear, collecting, or basketball. He stated he's just going to wear them hence the force fields. Did this dude really think he could rock some Jordans and not get creases in them? Who knows.

Fast forward to later that night he sends me this email that I can barely understand.

Here's the pics attached to the email. I linked them because they are huge.

Here's my original picture from the auction that clearly shows this little "crease".

Now my question is would you refund the buyer? Be brutally honest. If I messed up, I messed up by letting him try them on, but as far as this whole crease issue I just don't know. Plus in his mind I don't know how far "trying it on" goes and he seems to have already tampered with the shoes by unlacing them and what not.

I have already contacted Paypal and eBay incase he tries to open a claim, but we all know that won't do anything.

Cliffs-
- Buyer purchased XIII Playoffs
- Buyer stated he loved the shoes, except for a minor crease.
- Buyer even calls to tell me he loves the shoes
- Buyer tried on the shoes, but tampered with them at the same time.
- Buyer now has a new excuse he wants a refund because of a crease.

I wouldnt refund his money. You dont know what the condition of the shoes is. He may even try to pull a fast one on you and send fakes. I would stick to my no refund policy .

what crease? that looks like how they come from the factory most times. to heck with him. 'no returns, no refunds' you arent a store. tell em to suck it

no refund. could be a scam waiting to happen. dude is blowing you up over a BARELY noticeable diff. in fact, he's the only one who is ever going to notice, and shoes can start creasing early. its a shoe at the end of the day, hell you buy shoes at footlocker that someone may have tried on 20min before you.

Thanks for the input guys!

I was having a hard time deciding, cause I know he's a new collector and I don't want him with a sour feeling after one of his forays into the Jordan game, but I need to protect my neck as well.

Dude needs to understand that is just JB quality for you and I will explain accordingly to him.

that dude is trying to pull a fast one; tell him F off but he will probably leave negative feedback

eBay FTL

very simple, you said "no returns" and that's that. nothing he can do, if he didnt agree with it, he shouldnt have bought them.

The crease is barely noticeable and even then its at the bottom of the tongue. This guy is either trying to scam you or he has OCD about his shoes.

What crease? I would have bought the shoes off you with no complaints, i bought brand new bought XVI's with minor yellowing dude to poor storing and still rock them. No refund, dude seems very petty.

Dude is complaining about a little crease that can barely be seen?! Tell him to hit the bricks!
