My advice to freshmen: Hit the books. All that social !%%% will come, but it shouldn't be a focus. You can be a nerd today, an attorney, doctor, investment banker, manager, etc. tomorrow. Or be the life of the party today, and the dead end job (or no job) tomorrow. Of course there is a way to go about this. In college and life really, don't work hard....work smart. So you can actually have time to go parties and still get good grades. There's no reason to study 8 hours for an exam when you have all the old exams and the professor never changes them.
It's much easier to party when you're riding on a nice 3.5 in your upper classman years then having to switch to an easier major and digging yourself out of the "2-hole".
Unless you want to be this character:
"Yo I graduated from college (2.5 in Sports Management), and didn't get a job. College is overrated!!!!!".
I'll see some of you guys making that post in 4 years. Bet my bonus check on it.
