Conservatives look to him as like a God like figure... ofcourse Regan isn't that well likedin the black community for legitimate reasons. I think it's going to happen all over again... The country and economy is already in shambles... Obama wants to promote government spending... And therewill have to be another change to fix the changes of his changes.

Little known fact about the Gipper.

His first ever general election campaign stop was in a notorious white supremacy town in Mississppi where he uttered the infamous phrase "I believe instates rights" oh and Reagan also opposed a National holiday for MLK & also disagreed with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Reagan was no angel likeshe's portrayed he has a few blemishes on his legacy bot domesticly and on foreign policy.

Yeah I wouldnt say he was a racist but his policies definitely excluded blacks.. from his terrible handling of the AIDS outbreak, trickle downeconomics, not attacking proverty, crack being placed in urban neighborhoods which lead to even higher proverty rates, cutback on welfare programs but taxbreaks for the rich.

Can someone drop some knowledge as to WHY you guys feel Reagan didn't like black people? This is a serious question too. Reagan was before my time and Ihad always heard that he was a good president from both Democrats and Republicans so I'm a bit surprised to hear this other side.
