did i get scammed?

Call your CC company and file a chargeback, that's all you have to do.

Gift payments aren't covered by Paypal so the only way to get your money back is to get a chargeback done by your CC company. You could also call into PP and file a claim but the seller could call in and have it removed since under PP rules gift payments can't be disputed or claims opened.

yeah man, people work and can't sit around waiting for emails. give him a bit of time and see if he gets back to you

Amex is great for these cases....go straight through them. Theyll get your $$ back. It'll take a couple weeks, but you'll be good.

Even if you do this, you will still have that amount as a negative balance on your Paypal account. You best believe they will come after you to collect.

it sucks, but some ( a lot actually) sellers dont make communication a high priority after a sale.

which is a bad look on their part.  i can't stand dealing with a seller that will promptly answer any questions i have prior to me paying, but once i pay will lag on communication.   i'm a patient person so i'll give them the benifit of the doubt and give them a week for my item to come. i know some sellers won't ship until the funds have transfered from their paypal into their bank account.  however good communication goes a long way for me. the one minute or so it takes to pm me saying "i shipped your item, here's your tracking number" is worth it in my opinion.

Man I can't stand when sellers do that crap! Sellers need to understand that we are in the era of "scammers". Why wouldn’t people be jumpy and want to file claims or charge backs if the communication stops?
