1. Depends on the budget. H&M, Zara, Express, Banana, Republic, GAP, JCrew, etc... are all good places to check out. They should have some that fits your size.

2. Check out Jack Spade, it is all I used in college and never had a problem.

3. Also depends on the budget but NTDB favorite are Allen Edmonds right now. Visit a Nordstrom Rack and check out what you can find, their sizes go up to 15 and a handful of larger sizes too if needed.

Also a suggestion, if you are still looking to lose some weight, I'd wait and hold off on purchasing too many clothes. If you are set in your weight, then spend away.

Well I think I may hold off on pants until I get to like a 40-42. I'm sitting at 44-46 and I felt H&M/Zara/J.Crew judging me through the screen  jk

And I rock a 12-13 in dress shoes depending on how they're made. NR is where I got the Steven Maddens I'm wear now at.

Dropping to 40-42 from 44-46 is a huge drop in size so I really would hold off on making big purchases, not just pants.

I think I've been here once and didn't get any answers so I'll try again:

I'm a newly established young professional (just landed my first full time post-grad job 3 weeks ago) and while I enjoy T-shirts, cargos and sneakers, I'm very much so into high fashion or at least something close to it.

I stand at about 6'1- 6'2 and weight about 295-300 (down from the 320 I originally posted with). Here are my questions:

1. Where do I start looking for decent clothes in my size? Macy's used to have a good selection but has declined for some reason

2. I'm looking at messenger bags. What are some good brands that I should look at? trying to keep it under $250-300 if possible.

3. Shoes. What are some good brands outside of Steve Madden? MK makes shoes in bigger sizes, no?

I appreciate your patience and insight. Just trying to look good in the office and on the weekends :pimp:
You may want to consider losing weight first so the clothes will look good on you. Not a jab, but just speaking from experience.

Also, stuff at Macy's isn't "high fashion". That stuff is Lanvin, Hermes, Balmain, etc. which cater to the slim and fit.

Steve Madden is not a good shoe brand as well.

This old *** work comp won't let me multi-quote

But thank you two. Basically the end goal is to not look like a southern Mega-Church pastor or Steve Harvey out here in these streets.

Random note but I got my last suit from Indochino. Really good quality, had to get it taken in a lot since I bought it when I was way bigger.

It's going to feel that way until you get to the 36-38 range. The journey will be long, but it will be well worth it. Clothes will become flattering to your physique and that s not a bad thing at all.

Spending $200-300 on dress shoes may sound insane, but it is well worth it. Most think it's absurd, yet drop $150-250 for Jordan's, Bron's or SB's. Crazy when you think about it and dress shoes with maintenance last longer.

Hold off on buying expensive pieces until you drop the weight.

Another pair of boots came in today. Got these when Carlin posted the link, thanks man!

Going to end up with a few more boots before this season is over. Too many that I have my eye on right now

what kind of thrift shops are you guys hitting. you guys seem to always come across good deals.

are we talking about buffalo exchanges or goodwill type places?

yeah the black ones fade, and you cant go wrong with either of the blue washes, just depends what shoes you plan on wearing them with, black kicks go best with the darker wash, while bright color kicks/white go better with the lighter ones....here is a pic of the lighter wash
how tall are you steezy? im thinking bout getting those 484's but just dunno how they would fit on me

This. I dropped about 20 pounds this summer, down from a 38-40 to a 34. Trust me you're better off waiting till you hit your goal weight. Now that I'm trying to dress better none of my clothes fit and it's just a headache clearing out the closet.

forgot to ask any blogs you guys follow for inspiration/ideas?

If you type in #menswear on Tumblr you should get a lot of hits. I've gotten a lot of inspiration on outfits from scrolling through my tumblr feed. Also, peep the sig :pimp:

In addition to what has been said, in terms of bags you can find a nice Coach one if you have an outlet nearby. I have one that I've had for about 3 years and it's held up great and developed some nice patina and I sue it daily. In terms of shoes AE is a great option especially if you have wide feet as well.

Mailman dropped these off earlier:

Accepted a new job offer today. Bout to order another pair (or two) of RLs off that seconds list tomorrow

I could not disagree more. Buy what you want and what you can afford. This could be a long journey but you can dress better and look good along the way.

Anyone have silk screened tees??

Has anyone done it?? Tips??

Have a couple ideas floating around.
