Tartan is nice, just because you don't like it doesn't make it horrible.   I have a couple pairs myself.  They just need a different top and shoes and it's a clean winter look.

Went to my local mall tonight and scooped up some stuff.  Mall is open 24 hours

Copped these for about $25

Copped another pair of Sperry's for $50

Then I went to J.Crew and copped a few pairs of jeans and a nice shirt.

Vintage slim-fit jean in dark worn wash- $30

Double-sided utility shirt in winter gingham- $21

I have really liked how j. crew has deeply discounted their Levi's jeans. Picked up 2 pairs of dark 501s, including the selvedge one, for $20 the past few weeks, and the distressed 501s are $21 ($30 + 30% off) right now.

And I picked up their University Jacket (100% wool in black) for $105 ($150 + 30% off) this week. Really thick and warm with the thinsulate lining.

Too lazy to post the pix but you can check for them online and then go in-store where they'll be a lot cheaper if still available. Deals to be had if the extra 30% off sale items is sitll going on.

Yeah, the Sperry's were on Sale.

And how do they 501's fit? I feel like they'd be a little "spacious". I have trouble finding jeans that fit me well. I like the 514's but I have too much room down by the leg opening. I love how the 511's taper down, but I can't fit into those jeans.

The J.Crew Vintage Slim-fit's fit me the best so far.

501's will fit huge compared to 514's.  Just get 514's and tailor the hem.

So I went back to the sperry store yesterday and bought my SIL a pair of brown leather joints and wanted to show you guys these, I'm definately picking up the crimson red joints!...only thing I hate is the off-white bottom.
