Floyd Mayweather keeps $123 MILLION in ONE Account?!

He's not going broke. He spends crazy money but he is actually very smart about how he spends it if that makes sense.

Probably posted by he's making $41.5M's BEFORE PPV BUYOUT for his next fight against Canelo. Crazy

O yea this is def about all his money being in one back account.

and you sound stupid.

The guy asked a question. Only issue I had was him having it all in one bank.

Y'all too salty. That's ONE of his bank accounts. Meaning he has others. This man don't have no PNC bank account. You know how hard it is to rob banks in this age. Especially banks that have clients with 137m in an account? Guess he should keep it in his shoe box.

I'm the one happy for Money May.

Where do guys get the impressions he's gonna go broke from serious question?

I dont see it dude doesnt drink or do drugs, only has 2 cribs from what I know, unless he goes completely ape **** once hes done boxing it just doesnt make sense.

Dude will promote fights when he's done i'm sure. If the people around him are on point and he pays attention himself he should be more than good.(but I guess the same can be said about all the dudes who made a bunch of bread and blew it lol)
Allen Iverson?

But seriously though. He's 36 and probably only have about 5 more years unless he pulls a George Foreman.

He has ALL of him money in a bank. Nevermind that he's only insured up to $250,000. If he's getting 1% (which is pretty generous) he's only making $1.23MM/yr. If he had half that invested at an average rate, he'd be making $12MM/yr. Add onto that just in the article alone he has a G IV ($36MM), GV ($42MM), is spending $3.5MM on a watch, and has 20 people he's supporting and has to fly around wherever he goes. He's eating through a decent chunk of change just right there.

where do people with millions/billions put their money if only 250k is insured?
There are ways to insure it for more. Typically, if they want to have it liquid, they keep in a Money Market account or give it to an investment specialist at their bank and they find the CD's with the best rates at other banks. That way it's technically still under the roof of their bank and private bankers, but it's insured through other banks. They can also set up multiple trusts as well since the insurance is through the entity and not just the person.

But most of their assets are invested in something illiquid whether it's a business, stocks, properties, etc.

I don't know if he rents out the jets in the meantime to make up for maintenance costs which are very expensive. Family friend who's worth more than Mayweather sold his for that reason.

Lol @ going broke. I'm a paquiao fan, and even I know that mayweather is one of the smartest fighters around. Sometimes a little chicken in the ring, But he avoids punishment, and dishes it out with speed that's untouchable. He fights smart. So I gotta figure he's at least smart enough to stay rich.

iverson made over 200 million dollars in his career. yea i know that's pocket change to mayweather but i still think he'll die broke.

Didn't 50 say he wasn't as rich as he puts off. :nerd:

Bruh you're reading an article from a interviewer that saw $123m's on a single receipt. Stands to take home another 40 after a single fight in the next few days, not sure how much richer you want him to be.

I never do this but....

Those words came out of 50 cents mouth, a guy that used to roll with him. Doesn't have anything to do with the article.

Not saying thats not a lot of money though.

Floyd might not be your particular cup of tea, but you have to admire the way he's handled the business side of boxing.

50 said Mayweather does not have any other sources of income besides boxing.

That's not an issue yet tho. I mean, the guy hits the lotto every time he fights.

And he has a clothing line and also a promotion company.

Of course, all the stuff he flosses in front of the camera are big purchases to the average joe, but it's not really much to him if we do the math.
