Interesting.
If that is the case - they would pass a car with spiderweb cracking covering the entire windshield. A complete safety hazard.

It used to be every year but they changed it recently. Good thing too as “the homies” got expensive tipping every year since my car’s were usually pretty heavily modded and it got tiring having to get passed every year.
I figured the windshield crack on my Civic wouldn’t have been a big deal at DMV, so I didn’t mention anything and was in and out within minutes.

having a cracked windshield is cause for a ticket out here in LA iirc.
and aint no fixing it, gotta get it repaired.
