Dude, you and every other NikeTalker don't even know why you hate Fox News. Hop off the NikeTalk bandwagon.
Yeah, here's to you to.
Cool guy.
JR5
if you want to say that i'm saying that to hop on "NikeTalk's bandwagon", go 'head.
But it's more than a niketalk bandwagon, its a widely recognized right-wing, extremely conservative news station that doesn't hide its biased opinions. I watch fox, as well as cnn and msnbc..but i don't agree with 75-95% of what they say...i find their arguments against almost all liberal moves, most of the time, ridiculous and unfair. They obviously try to shine light on all the negatives possible when it comes to the Democratic party or Obama himself. So my point of emphasizing the "Fox News" context was just to show that you're backing up what you say with the a conservative news source which is known for its biased opinion. Not only do i know this, so does NikeTalk , as well as LOTS of people, usually those with at least some political interests.
The reason why you see it as a NikeTalk "bandwagon" is probably due to the fact that NT generally consists of relatively young users- who are generally liberal..which means they see Fox as a flawed news station, because that is what its generally recognized as. I don't think what i'm saying is crazy, cool guy.
on so many levels. I swear some of you only have a perspective of what is 10ft ahead of you. Fox News is on the same exact level of MSNBC just on opposite sides of the spectrum. You state your preconceived bias against conservative views and yet expect to make an unbiased decision on whether a news channel is "flawed" or not? Does that make any sense? I mean come on man, LISTEN to what you are saying. It is essentially "I am openly biased and do not like dissenting views on liberal issues. People who disagree with me are flawed".
Fox news is catered towards conservatives while MSNBC is catered towards conservatives. Of course your not going to like it, it is not trying to appease your view. You dont have to watch it. But to try to discredit a news agency based soley on their political leaning is not right. All news comes with a slant because more often then not, news providers are owned by companies with their own agenda.
ill cue the "Cool guy" face right about now.
No. I'm not saying "I am openly biased and do not like dissenting views on liberal issues. People who disagree with me are flawed". You gotta read what im saying IN context. The first time i quoted was in response to a dude saying that Obama is not doing @#$% for America, but what i was saying is that from a conservative viewpoint yall say Obamas a big fail when he's just trying to clean up the Bush Administrations mess, going deeper into that will just lead to dudes like you taking out every little thing i say and trying to turn it on me, so thats generally what i was saying. its pretty simple
The second time was Jrose claiming that the only reason i emphasized Fox was to just be on the NT bandwagon, basically saying i was just trying to look cool by saying what everyone else would say. I responded saying that Fox is widely recognized as a flawed news station..if you are gonna argue that then this conversation should just be deaded right now. What you're saying about news stations being slightly one way or another is truth..im not arguing that. Theres a difference between "discrediting a news agency based solely on their political leaning" and discrediting a news station which is COMPLETELY one sided and uses the dumbest @#$% to make any democratic move look stupid. You've seen what Fox has done so don't act like you cant comprehend what i'm trying to get across..because it takes some understanding beyond just what i wrote to see where im saying, those youtube videos might be some help.
And that whole thing you got goin about me being biased against conservatives is a pointless argument..i can say the same exact thing to anyone that shows any leaning towards conservatism because that point will always be proven right, but thats usually understood so theres no point in even bringing it up
.
arguing politics online ftl
If you want to talk about taking things inside their context then maybe you should do the same for JR5's statement. He never said Obama wasdoing nothing for this country, just that he didnt support his ideals and that he was glad that other people were realizing the same. Sure, he may not haveknown that those people had their water turned off way before Obama was even elected, you still came off as biased because you completly ignored the story justbecause it was played on fox news. If you actually took the time to listen instead of drawing from previous conclusions you would have known that those peoplewere upset and asking Obama to help them get their irrigation system turned back on.
The only mess Bush left Obama was the two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. America's deregulation of the financial system as well as the causes of the subprime loan fiasco were already well underway during the Clinton administration. So if he's trying to clean up Bush's mess why aren't the troopshome?
Fox News is widely known to be biased but is still able to pull is crowds 3 times the size of its competitors and in certain time slots brings in more viewersthen all there competition combined? Im not saying Fox is better then any other news station because all of them are crap. Fox is just as extreme to theirspectrum as MSNBC. You can make a case for saying that CNN slight leans to the left. Both MSNBC and Fox try to make each other look stupid the only differenceis that Fox is more succesful at it in terms of viewership
All's I'm is don't act like the opposition is vile for doing something when your team is doing the exact same thing.
