How Important is Sleep?

I barely get enough sleep due to my job right now. It's definitely taking a toll on me. Every morning I have the panda eyes lol. I need a better sleepingpattern ftl.

It's how your body recovers.

I grew about an inch from a bunch of sleep recently.

Sleep is very important.

If I don't get at least 7 hours of sleep, I fall asleep in class. B-12 and all those vitamins don't help at all either.

Having enough sleep helps your cognitive thinking especially for when you're driving or taking a test. Value your sleep.

^^ So true. On the days I don't get enough sleep, I get really forgetful and clumsy.

Very important.
When i get it.... it's a great feeling.
But i run on about 4-5 hours a night.
Up all night with Kim1 , she don't let a !#!@% get no sleep!

Speaking of her, shouts to my boo Kim..

how important is breathing, inhaltion exhaltion, same thing with sleeping and being up

does anyone know if 6 hours of sleep plus a 2 hour mid day nap the same as an 8 hour sleep?

I'm pretty sure 8 full hours of sleep is better. I've always read that taking naps longer than 30 to 40 minutes in length is actually detrimental toyour sleep cycle.

skin regenerates while you're asleep.

sleep deprivation causes dark circles and bags under the eyes - the skin around the eye is the thinnest, that's why it's so apparent.

over time, your skin will become dry with a non-smooth texture.

long term, sleep deprivation causes fine lines and wrinkles.

Not really on the same topic... but I heard if you nap during the naps you don't really get into a deep sleep at night

^ it messes up you're sleeping pattern. I mean if you're really tire, imo there's nothing better than a power nap. Any of ya know any goodtreatment for deep bags and circles around the eye? I heard teabags are pretty good too.

if i dont get enough sleep, i feel nauseous, dizzy and feeling like i want to throw up everytime i try to eat something.

also, my forehead will have deep wrinkles and ill get dark circles under my eyes + eye bags. definitely not a good look, like someone said above earlier, sleepis probably the 3rd most important thing aside from diet and water intake.

that being said, anyone have the problem of not sleeping well due to their mattress? i moved back home for the summer and my mattress is hard as a %%%$+%!wooden board.. used to sleeping on my futon in my dorm.

Off topic, but I swear I can never power nap. I wake up 20 mins later and im like eff it i'm going back to sleep

god I love a good sleep. where you sleep sound and comfortable for a good 8-10 hours. wake up feeling recharged, refreshed.

I only really get 4 hours of sleep a day.

Really hasn't affected me in a bad manner.

It's extremely important. If I don't get the proper amount of sleep, I feel groggy the whole day. I usually sleep 8-10 hours and then take a afternoonnap. Good sleep plus a nap =

Food maybe. Although I don't think there is a single case of death by lack of sleep. A person would die of dehydration way before they diedfrom sleep deprivation though.

Pretty important, sleep is a necessity just like water, and food. The body can't function without it.
