Is there a trade or skill that I can learn in a year??

Most community colleges offer certificates, and most of them can be completed in a year IF your motivated enough.

For instance I will be getting my Media Specialist Certificate (30 credit hours) by this Fall, and possibly this summer...I started last fall. I will be doinga Video Game Programming and Design Technology Certification (44 credit hours) next.

Also my community college offers a Construction Certificate and it's only 12 hours. VERY tempting. There are others too like Web Design etc..that have avery small amount of hours involved.

You could totally get training. By no means would he be a master chef, but he def get some training to work in a lot of kitchens.

It was a half joke btw

i dont know how smart that is to do a trade. i work at an asphalt maintenance place and one of the guys is a laid off plumber. one is a laid off sheet rock guyor something and the other is a laid off lumberer. im just a bummy college kid making bank off this job while they are all trying to make a living off of it.you should just go to a real school and forget about this

You could learn how to play an instrument. But I doubt it'd bring any bank your way.

It depends on how dedicated you can be. You could get into real estate maybe.

Nice Simpsons references. Nevertheless, I'm sure there is a trade/skill that you can learn in a year. I think I've seen infomericals about them...

i aplogise then madam, its just that ive been cooking for about 4years now, and im im very good at it, but i would say i have alot more work to put in before i reach iron chef levels...

to use pokemon references.. im like at level 45... but i can go up to 100 with a few more years of training

my friend went to a culinary school near Hollywood... graduated in 8 months and got hired at a decent restaurant. The catch is... it cost a lotta money toattend. So... culinary arts... mos definitely do-able in a year.

.

If I hadn't already graduated and I thought I could actually be great at it I'd be a chef in a heartbeat.

Guys who cook FTW!
