I definitely recommend anybody who hasn't to experience one of his shows... Like Deep said he won't even play YBIAWL he asked the crowd if they wouldmind if he respectfully declined to play that because that wasn't his space anymore

I just bothered to listen to the "Where The Light Is" this week, and "In Your Atmosphere" was one of those classic Mayer songs, I know Iwould love by the first minute.

Yeah, I work at best buy and over the summer we had a set up playing the "Where the light is" Blu-ray

I fell in love with that song instantly. It made coming into work so much better.

It's hard to believe but even though i was there i still haven't seen the DVD of Where The Light Is...had the audience bootleg right after the showthen got the CD when it came out and that's what i've been jamming to...just an amazing night of music very very special to see him acoustic then theTRIO!!! then the band which i've already seen a few times...but the trio and acoustic was

I'm still pissed that he didn't perform "Another Kind Of Green" w/ the Trio. Best damn song on Try!

the setlist for the trio was kind of
grin.gif
no Somethings Missing or AKOG butBold As Love and Wait Until Tomorrow more than made up for it...

Gravity with the trio would've been nice too

"In Your Atmosphere" was pretty good.
The two songs I reeeally liked were "Everyday I have the Blues" and "Out of My Mind". he's just making the guitar sing in "out ofmy mind".
First time I heard that song I was in awe. my eyes went

For some reason I always get this song and Victoria mixed up. Like them both a lot.

GREATLY appreciated....sometimes I think NT has nothing but rap and hip hop heads....feels good seeing other diverse people

Due to the latter, I've had a tendency to write Mayer off, but I keep getting told that I'm in the wrong for doing so.
Yeah, you'd be in the wrong. His career has progressed towards a more blues, electric sound which is what you're probably looking for. I hate listening to his live albums though 'cause of the shrieking girls. I really want to go to one of his concerts but I feel like I wouldn't enjoy it for that reason.

QFT I'm actually a huge Mayer fan. I have seen him play three times, as early as when "No Such Thing" first got radio airplay to as recent asJune 07 (here are pics):

His shows earlyon had its share of screaming girls but they have waned as the years have past. I met him during a meet/greet when 'No Such Thing' came out (my friendowned the record shop). Personable guy - I'll admit he was looking over my shoulder at the hot blonde behind me (so was I). To the PS Thomas Crown, you canget the studio version on "Inside Wants Out" EP. The "As/Is" live version is good. The "Any Given Thursday" version is fantastic,if you can drown out the loud girl screaming and singing along. But this is a fantastic song, with lyrics young and old can appreciate. Check out his blog fortime to time - he is a big sneakerhead. Dude loves some AF1s with his NBHD jeans!

I gotta put him back in rotation. I downloaded that Where The Light Is awhile ago and still aint fully listen to it(just my favorites) - blasphemy I know. Hismusic is....calming

Check out Covered In Rain (off of As/Is). It's by far my favorite John Mayer song and I've never heard anyone NOT like it. Even my boy,who HATES the man with every fabric in his body, can admit that it's a great song.

Like others have said, this guy is great live. This summer was my first time seeing him live and it was such an amazing show. It definitely won't be thelast time I see him play and I hope I'm lucky enough to catch a show where he'll play Covered In Rain.

The Any Given Thursday DVD was

"Somethings Missing" was great as well

I'll say it again, if you can witness him live, do it. You will not be disappointed.
