I won't lie, alot of the misconceptions are true. We are arrogant and we do hate tourists
I think people try to hype how dirty the city is though, either that or i've gotten use to it

MARYLAND IS NOT THE SOUTH.

manhattan is dirty mainly because of population density on a small *** island. dirtiest subways ive ever seen tho. queens is pretty clean, but each boro has its dirty parts. there are cleaner cities tho. boston is def a clean city (subway included), and id imagine san fran a very clean city.

honestly NYers are more aggressive imo than people of other cities. idk y, but im the same way i guess so idc. i get kind of taken back when people are mad nice n **** when im in a diff city. then i realize wow NY really conditioned me.

NY is as expensive as people make it out to be.

idk any misconceptions...we do have parks and trees, its not a literal concrete jungle, tho some areas will have you believing it.

I always have a good time when I go down to SD but only go once or twice a year so it doesn't get old

you don't have to but people do it most of the time when you are talking about a location. they will more likely say Broward at first, but then they will say the certain area afterwards to be more specific.

Exactly. The "City of Miami" is all of the inner-city hoods and like two rich areas anyway, the rest of it is Gables, Hialeah, West/South/North Miami and unincorporated Dade. S/O to my Miramar and Pines shones that claim "Miami" though.

I've been to Southie a handful of times and while slowly gentrifying, there are still plenty of Donkey track suit wearning scumbags that would put a dent in your head if they find out you're from ANYWHERE but Southie.

Calgary (Canada in general)
- Unless from the Maritimes/East Coast, most Canadians (if not all) don't say 'Eh'. I actually only hear that dumb phrase from Americans who try and make fun of us.
- We are ethically diverse from black, asian, indian, eastern european etc.
- We are a very wealthy city. If I can compare my city to anything, it is a combination of Seattle and Houston.
- Not all of us watch and play hockey (although I do)
- We are not flannel wearing lumberjacks.

- We don't ride horses for transportation or live in igloos (another question asked)
