***MLB Feet and Equipment 2014***NEW THREAD

So I am looking to get a logo I created for myself screen printed on a handful of nike dri fit shirts for some friends and family. So far I have had no luck with a few screen printers I've contacted because they have a minimum amount of shirts that had to be made(so far the lowest I've found is 50) and I am only looking for about 10-15. If anybody has a good contact they can share with me it would be much appreciated

I work at a Team Uniform shop, we do all types of embellishments. Can help you out. Sent a PM.

those heavy orange accent Miggy NBs are dope. as are the navy/white ones from the ASG.

anyone know if there are other colorways available other than the ones i can find on BaseballExp and such? im about to pull the trigger on a pair

Try Homerunmonkey.com. Even 6pm.com. Got my pair real cheap. Best cleats I've had by far. Need to get some trainers

Too bad these MLB barbell shirts don't appear to be available for anyone other that the red sox.
A coach of mine, who's a pitcher in the Miami marlins origination has that shirt in black and orange with a big M on it. He wore it to practice one time!

Nike Lunar Vapor Trout ASG - A Review

I just got these in and I just want to do a quick review on these Trouts

First off the colorway of this cleat is very unique as everyone knows it is patterned after the Rainbow Trout Fish. Not a bad attempt at this colorway.

So let's start with the heel. I have really bad heels and when putting this on you can feel the support right away. The spring and accordion like contraction of the heel when you step back really feels responsive. It almost gives you an advantage when stepping off because of the unique spring like action. My fear was put to rest when I thought the mold of the heel would make it feel like I am wearing women's high heels, rest assured your manhood is covered as this does not raise it to feel like a Stiletto Shoe.

Next up is what is underneath. The plate is lightweight but yet strong enough to take a beating. I am not a fast guy at all but I sure felt like one when I started to run around in these. I would have liked a MCS version better as many guys are slowly turning away from metal. I guess it is a matter of choice. But Nike really needs to release this shoe in a MCS version.

Now we come to trying on the shoe. I have a wide foot and so far I had no issues slipping this on and off. There is plenty of room on each side and I felt locked in and secure with them once I tied them up securely. The overall feel of putting them on felt like a soft piece of rubber wrapping around your foot in comfort.

And now the front. Here was my only tiny complaint. If you have claustrophobia in your toes then this shoe may or may not be for you. What I mean is, you slip these on and tie them up and then your toes are locked into place. So if you feel like you want to wiggle them around you might want to ignore that feeling. It almost felt like wearing a Steel Toe shoe. I kinda got a little claustrophobic around my toes but I settled down after the fact.

So overall what is the final verdict? Well, this shoe is really well made. The overall appearance is unique in this colorway. The feel of the shoe when putting them on feels like slipping on a broken in shoe that is so comfy that you just feel the oohs and ahhs when slipping them on. Again, the toe area is a little suspect but I guess everyone is different and you may enjoy your toes being locked into place. The heel is great and the weight of the shoe is just so light. Is it worth 150? too much for my taste but if you are lucky to have a Nike gift card for your birthday laying around, why not invest in them? I appreciate your time everyone.

P.S. - Nike please bring this out in a trainer/turf version.

Has anyone tried Andover Powerflex tape? If so, what width of tape did you go with? They have 1" to 4" every quarter inch.

I've used it, and it's great. You go through rolls pretty quickly.

I like 2 inch. I'd go anywhere between 2 inch and 3 inch.

Thank you CSS but the only issue I had with this was Giancarlo's colorway was the opposite. He had red numbering on the blue side and mine has blue lettering on the red side. I confirmed with CSS that this numbering colorway is for the public and that Giancarlo's red numbering on the blue side was made only for him.

I play almost exclusively in turfs and while, I haven't played in the '97 Zoom Turfs (I find the heelcounter to be too high and rigid and therefore uncomfortable) I can tell you that the nubby outsole works great as long as it's not sloppy.
