New York City Bicycle Helmet Laws

Any NTers know if you have to wear a helmet to ride a bike in NYC. im 22 years old btw

no. But since your a 22 year old asking if you need to wear a helmet, I suggest you do. Streets is ruff.

It depends on how and where you plan on riding, as well as your skill level.
If your good and wont be riding in any crazy midtown traffic I would say your ok with out one.
But if you going to be doing some zig zagging in heavy traffic you might want to look into it. Never know..

Well most of the Dominos guys in the hood wear a helmet over their work fitted lol, as far as messengers downtown go its like a 50 50 ratio if you ask me.

Riding a bike > driving in manhattan.

I stick to the subway/cabs myself but I take the mountain bike out on weekends

yea id rather sit in traffic with a shorty than have to take the bus with her
