Dudes are always wildly overrating Pippen's '94 season.

28/7/7 vs 22/9/5

Won MVP vs 3rd in MVP voting
Best regular season record vs 2nd in Central Div

If Dirk is on there, so should T-Mac
eyes.gif

Also - Pippen stays. KB, TD, KG, GP deserve to be added... LeBron isn't there yet, just like CP3, D12, Wade, Melo...

smh.gif
TMac isn't even in the same stratosphere as Dirk. Dirk still doesn't belong on that list though.

kobe..duncan...kg...kidd and payton

why the hell would you not put kidd on there?...dude was a triple double waiting to happen in his prime

Wildly overrating? The Bulls just lost the best player in the league and only had a dropoff of 2 games. If anything that team and Scottie's lone season asthe 1st option is underrated.

Scottie can be called a great, that's probably fine by anyone, but the bottom line is he doesn't have as much lee-way on this list as other players.Meaning as the decades go by, and more and more greats enter the Top 50, leaves less of a chance that Scottie stays.

i wasnt talking championship rings. but more than half of those people on that list carried their teams to playoffs, 2nd round playoffs. KG had multipleseason where he failed to take his team to the playoffs. I am a fan of KG, he is a really good player I just dont want ppl to get caught up in the likeness ofa player in making him top 50 ( ie all star appearence), or dominating numbers on a weak team, ppl say numbers dont lie, but they actually do

You're wrong on one and a half things.

First, he had multiple seasons not advancing out of the first round...It was never failing to make the playoffs.

Second, stats DON'T lie. They just don't tell the whole story.

And for good measure....You sound clueless. No offense. Many of those 50 were part of team with a few all-stars and future HOF'ers.

well i mentioned 2nd round playoffs, but i guess my wording was off
laugh.gif

KG did have multiple seasons not making the playoffs tho.

And how am I clueless, all i said was not be so quick to throw KG on the list. Just like people throwing Lebron on the list. If KG is on then the Glove defgets on. If KG was to win a couple more rings then def he would be on, but his career im not so sure he's top 50, mind you i didnt see all them old headsplay.

and Jkidd will be on that list when his career is over, even at his age he still is producing with probably about 2 seasons left in him.

and do not throw on lebron, who knows what can happen, he really hasn't done much ( ROY (should have went to melo), finals appearence, reg season MVP) imoto be top 50 RIGHT NOW. I mean AI has done just as much.

yea get off with that Dirk *%%.

carried his team??? guy had scorers everywhere with all-star in Howard, and scorer in Terr, slasher in i forgot his name but that kid who went to Jersey, stack, and a firey coach with Avery who praised D.

Dirk aint all that on D. i mean he cool and all but he never carried the team. all you can say is carried them to first round exit as number one seed, givingup a 2-0 lead in the finals. another first round loss and then a second round loss. with twice have J-kidd.

i like him and he good but na.

back on topic yea Kobe and Tim for sure. KG dont like him but he good too. Kidd is consistent and took his team to the finals twice back to back against thegreatest teams of this decade so him too.

These guys are in so far

1. Kobe
2. KG
3. Tim Duncan
4. Allen Iverson
5. Jason Kidd

and still up for debate are

Dominique Wilkins ( I say yeah)
Gary Payton ( I say yeah)

too early are...

Lebron
D-Wade
Dirk

Kobe, Duncan, Kidd, Iverson are a definite yes.

KG is borderline.

Too early for Lebron, Wade.

I think people are getting confused (myself included) on what is the criteria for this list. If it was 50 greatest/most dominant basketball players of All-TimeWHILE THEY WERE IN THEIR PRIME, it would be a whole different issue. LeBron would easily be top 15 already IMO, and he hasn't even reached his prime. Whythe hell was Shaq already on the OG list back in '97?
laugh.gif
...That is just a plain flaw, & makes arguing for who should be added/removed that muchharder. If it is for total career/longevity (which I believe it is SUPPOSED to be), than TD, KB, KG & J-Kidd need to be added. Dominique (out), GP (in)& A.I. (in) are on the fence (IMO). WAY to premature for LBJ & D-Wade (though I'm 99% positive they will eventually be there barring injury). ChrisPaul & D12 DEFINITELY have the potential to be added. I say the people arguing for Dirk, P2, Jesus & Reggie Miller etc. should quit wasting there time.
laugh.gif

Yeah the criteria is blurry. No real rules to this. I say longevity is a must tho.

I'm still on the fence about GP and possibly...maybe down the road Dirk. I loved Reggie but went back and looked at his stats. Wow I was disappointed Ithought he did more. Only 5 time all-star. He's top 10 clutch of all-time and top 10 shooters but that's where it stops. He did play for 18 years(which hurt his career avg) and got to the finals.

Now on the other hand this man got robbed and is on the new list

You can make an argument that Dirk is a better passer than that ******.

because Dirk is so great at things other then scoring that he is better then AI?

Dirk is not a better passer then AI
Believe it or not, Dirk plays defense, something Iverson has never heard of in his life. It's a given that Dirk will be a good rebounder at his height, and if Dirk wanted to I'm sure he could put up just as much as AI did when had craptacular teams.
Dirk deserves to be on the list

90% of those "milestones" have "first europeanplayer" so what.....this list is about what you did compared to American players too. I don't see how he can get an automatic yes. Props on the MVPtho.
