Why is it banned
Shouldn’t a employer have a say
Of what substances they gonna test for when hiring
If I don’t want someone who smokes weed working for me
I should have that right

I see this like alcohol if i can have drinks the night before a pre employment drug test and its legal i should be able to do the same with cannabis the night before if its legal where im at.

just treat it like booze and cigarettes

What you do off the clock is none of the company’s business.
I see your point but not sure I 100% agree with this.

I have no issue with people drinking or smoking off the clock though. So in THIS instance, it is cool but just don't embarrass your company .

Like the weed test ban, doing porn and working in certain capacities would be exempt. However, if I wanna sling wood pt at home depot my porn career slinging wood should make no difference.

Not for you to agree or disagree. Many people use marijuana for self diagnosed mental medical purposes they don’t want to talk about or actually face head on not just for fun.

Extreme indeed. You know what he meant. Yeah no one is hiring a meth addict or someone who engages in pornography.

But if a Home Depot employer has an issue with your porn career, you would get it right?

I think now, more than any other time in US history, companies simply don't want to ve publicly shamed

Not unless it impacts my ability to service customers or follow the code of conduct.
That is ideal and that is how, as an EMPLOYEE, we would like to vkew things but it is possible that if we were on the other side of the table we would vkew it differently.

I would say there is no right or wrong way about it we just have different goals/expectations depending on our position .

I GET why companies care so much about what theirbworkers are doing off the clock.

Everyone drinks, so I am not even sure how many people you could even hire

The questions isn’t if you come to work under any influence. The testing is to see if you’re smoking at all at any point within the past _____ days.
Well if u were drinking an hour before
Ur interview
Even though I know it’s unlikely
But isn’t that the same thing
Mind u I’m not for it or against it
Company should be able to choose imo
But just tryna play devils advocate
