No they’ve had second and third place finishes under Jim in the east, mentiroso.

4th in the conference then. Whatever. The point is Michigan finishing in the top 4 nationally is not going to be the norm. Anyone claiming otherwise is the one lying.

I don’t disagree with that.

Whether Michigan is able to make this a rivalry again on a consistent basis is going to ride on whether Day can remake that defensive staff or not IMO. OSU has talent on that side of the ball, they’re just soft and not well coached rn.

Michigan is more or less going to be a very similar team next year. They lose Aiden and Ojabo, but they’ve never had an issue producing edge guys under Jim, and I like the potential of some of the young guys on the roster.

They’re going to have to hit the portal to find a power back to replace Haskins tho, I don’t think they can rely on Corum or Edwards to pick up yards in those situations.

Michigan needs to recruit more elite guys at WR and Corner consistently, IMO. Finally hitting on QB helps too. McCarthy has to really hit too.
This has really been the difference between them and Ohio. The gap between consistent top 3 classes and top 10 classes is huge. Michigan needs to get some guys like Garrett Wilson who can just make plays even when nothing else is working perfectly.

Donvan People's Jones and Nico Collins were those kinda guys. Patterson just barely gave them the opportunities.
