My much smaller AF1 collection. Back in 2009 I had roughly over 85 pairs of AF1s. Sold the majority of my collection because most AF1s are unwearable and basically fell apart from 1999 - 2006. No lie, I gave away for free about 40+ pairs of AF1s To various charities and homeless people. I’ve been collecting since 2000 so to me it’s nothing to give away shoes to less needy. It’s not always about the money and to floss on other collectors. Here’s my remaining collection with some backstories. *Edit* I can only post 10 picks at a time so hold tight...
One of my absolute favorites! I had the all white low top sheeds - had them DS for yearzzz, wore them to footlocker in 2011, and the patent leather completely crinkled! So pissed. I also had the red/white/blue sheed low tops. Gave those away to charity.

The air unit in these “LA’s” are deflated. But this is a classic!
i I went to the University of Miami for undergrad from 03-07. I saw these at Shoe Gallery (big sneaker store in Miami) and had to have them!
All I need is a Michael Vick jersey lol!
I had about 7 “Matrix” AF1, these are the only ones that didn’t deflate on me.

I 2 of 3 Bron AF1s. Probably my favorite Bron AF1 that I own. I had the Green/white/black patent chamber of fear Brons (old pic to come later) but I gave those away for FREE at a charity event.

Nike ID doesn’t excite me anymore like they did in the past. I made about 10 Nine AF1s, these are the only ones I kept. Love these!
You already know I gotta rep the home team “Bronx” AF1s! I could’ve got the whole pack back in the day but I was only effing with these. Best colorway of the whole 5 borough pack in my opinion.

Posted these the other day. When I first got started in sneaker collecting in 2000/2001, jewel swoosh AF1s in NYC were impossible to buy! I was basically 3-5 to late! Jewel swoosh AF1s are my absolute GRAILS!

Had this been 2006/7 these would’ve sold for $800+ which is the equivalent of $2000 today in the sneaker market. Certain AF1s were very highly coveted back then. It’s weird that you can get this pair for $60 today... SMH
When I was in Grad School, the finally released this shoe and I was super excited to get them. The day of the release, I got the mall 3 hours before it opened to get these. I was literally the only one there in a huge mall in Miami. Nobody cared for these or was hype to get them.

“construct” AF1. This pair reminds me of pairs from the 90s.
When these were going for $90 on StockX, I should’ve bought 10 pairs!!! Now my size is $300+. Roc-A-Fella AF1s

Chamber of fear Brons, Independence Days, 06 All Star Games, yellow West Indian & green West Indian ( I had the red pair and the big face pair), MITAs, barcodes, black NYC (original), invisible woman, Jones Beach, brown lasers, Valentine’s Day, grey/white JDs, brown Corduroy NYC, Easters 05, Halloween 05, black & gold pairs of the NBA legends pack, yellow/green carnival pack, and few others.

Not necessarily. I Un Ds'd a pair of 2003 Canyon Golds & 2002 Hi's recently. Worn them both many times. All good.
Do you weigh around/above 200lbs? If so then perhaps the bags may deflate.

That might be the case. I’m 6’2 240 size 13. Plus living in South Florida at the time with humidity and heat might’ve broken down the shoes at a fast rate. I DM’d PGKnows a few years ago asking how he keeps his older AF1s in good shape throughout the years, he basically said like anybody else, in a air conditioned room. Maybe my apartment was to humid...

Yeah I think weight/size has a lot to do with it. I'm about 170/175 so fortunately older pairs are going to be a little kinder to me when Un Ds'ing.

The “fixing” of af1 air bags is becoming more popular and might be something to think about with certain pairs if that you want to keep. I have a few pair that I refuse to do away with and plan on getting them “fixed”.

I definitely have to do that. Walking in a deflated AF1 feels so horrible. Do you know any side hustles that do sole swaps or air bag fixing on AF1s?

I remember people getting those Hong Kongs for $35-$42 from the outlet. Joints are garbage. Seen them at my outlet and didn't check the price, would have be $10 for me to grab them.
Nice AF1 collection, brings back a lot of memories. I wanted the Vick AF1s so bad but making them mids was dumb. I would have been all over those if they were highs.

Got my HK's a while ago for like $44 on SX. Wore em here and there, def creased and look a bit worn w the white bottoms but i don't wear enough to justify keeping. Have em on GOAT and just got a bid a week or two ago for the first time in months.
