It is. It’s just that some of us (me) prefer the 2012 version with AJ1 OG hi soles rather then it’s original sole it came out with.

I bought the Chicago and Bred pairs of the 1.5s to wear (missed on the AJ1 Chi retro and didn't think I'd hit on Breds - but I did), and I actually love them. That AJ2 footbed is so much more comfortable IMO. Sure the upper isn't the same quality as a recraft AJ1, but I wasn't about to spend (at the time) $700+ on Chis when the 1.5s came out.
