11. Have at least one nice thing to wear. "You never know if you're going to end up at a little semi or a Greek event." Though I recommend avoiding Greek everything if possible.
Stopped Reading There. dude doesn't give any reasoning at all for why Fraternities and Sororities are such "Bad Organizations", yet he speaks alot on networking. Greek life isn't close to being all aboutnetworking, but it seems like this dude is just against greek life to be against it.![]()
As a rising Sophomore, my advice to you freshmen is as follows:
Participate in rush, get to know the school during orientation, and decide if you fit into your schools greek system. Would I have gone Greek anywhere? $#%$no. A lot of schools have Greek systems that I could never see myself being a part of. But, at the school I ended up at I did join a frat and it was probablythe best decision of my freshman year. Greek life isn't for everyone, but it is not worth ruling it out just because of stereotypes. If you find a housewhere you feel comfortable, I would highly recommend going through the pledge process and joining that house.
I'll try to think of some more stuff to add to this later. If anyone has any questions feel free to post them or PM me.
