Official MARCH 2010 Nike Outlet/Website/Store Update Thread - 3/18-21: 20% Off Nike Outlet Cpn Pg.1

Aurora illinois just droped their 3/20 cdp to $79.97 (no 7ys left)630 585 9568I would pm dude who was asking before but im on my sk, sorry too much work! You guys think I could get other outlets to price match?

Camarillo update:

they are remodeling and got some decent deals but aside from the 60+ fusion things like every other outlet these are some notable stuff

also got some phenoms (the concord looking ones and some PEs)

Just got the dreaded call from Chase about suspicious activity.

Apparently someone tried to buy $360 worth of stuff at a Toys R Us in White Plains, NY.

The only time I used my card over the phone in the East Coast is when I made a phone order for White/Red AM1's at Wrentham, Ma.

It's will be an inconvenience (no card for 7 days

), but at least Chase caught it quick.  The transaction was declined at the POS, they did manage to use it at Wal Mart for $8.

Just curious as to how this works, do these dudes just go to the stores with the numbers in hand?  Do they say they forgot their CC, so they just shoot these numbers at the cashier?

Just posted the info here to give you guys a heads up.  It's not the first time this has happened to someone on this board.  Plus I know Nike reads these boards, so hopefully the policy can change so that Managers handle these phone orders in order to have some type of accountability (Although it will not completely end this from happening).

^ Damn man thats why i dont like giving my card info over phone because they can write it down somewhere else and use it but i dont get it how they can give them the number without the card present glad everything went good for you homie people should keep a look out at your card statements because of this

Between employees hording deals for themselves once they're tipped off by our phone calls, and the risk of those employees stealing your CC info, I almost think it's best to just have members buy the shoes up front, and ship them out themselves after getting the money via PayPal from those they're buying for. I realize this isn't going to be feasible in many cases (i.e. something really popular that 50 people want, people don't have that kind of change to front the money, people don't have the time/means/supplies to ship, etc.), but if anyone can help it, I think it's a better way to go.

Sorry, forgot to put that in my post, so I went back and edited that yesterday.  The coupon is good through 3/10 at midnight.  In other words, the last day to use it is on the 9th before midnight.

The only reason I actually go forward with these phone transactions is because they don't ask for the 3 digit number on the back of the card.

Otherwise, I would pass on the deals because the identity theft headache would not be worth it.

In this case, they just had my card info.  Killing the card ends the fraud.

They just got away with the $8 Wal Mart charge (Chase wiped it out), they declined the Toys R Us transaction.  I got a call from Chase asking me if I'm traveling in NY, told them no and that was the end of it.  It's only an inconvenience since I have to wait 5-7 days until a new card is issued.

The only time I let my guard down with my DC/CC is Nike Outlet Orders

I'm really careful.

I'm just curious to how the scheme works since they don't actually have a physical card.  That's pretty ballsy since the perp is just giving CC info without any physical proof.  It's an automatic Red Flag.

Chase caught it really quick, I was impressed.

damn man. The dudes at the Wrentham outlets are pretty cool, but you can never trust anyone over the phone. That said, I usually use gift cards for phone orders.

Thats exactly why I ask to speak to a manager when I place phone orders. Always write down their name, for reference.

its simple..transfer the CC# and EXP to a blank card with the strip being de-magnitized. when you go to use the card the employee will try about 3 times before punching the numbers in manually then BOOM..your card has been charged.

i would file a police report and sue nike and the person who used your card
but then nike would change there return policy and there would be no more shipping from outlets

so not a good idea

thats the same thing that happend with the gift cards

you'd be surprised bro. these nerds are smart! they can make duplicate cards with the quickness and the technology/knowledge they have is

I made four or five phone orders in the last six weeks or so. I had five or six fraudulent charges on my last statement. It was all from .coms (probably porn or something). I do not know for sure that it is from a phone order, but you never know. Its a chance you take. All of my charges are in the process of being reversed.

Yeah, that's why I use AMEX for these phone orders and check the statement online daily!

Someone asked me for the #s on the back/front... I deaded that asap.

the worst is when you read your number over the phone and the person taking the order is repeating it as you tell them and you hear people in the background
alien.gif

i stop them right away and tell them not to repeat it if there's people in ear shot

i'm about to call somewhere to place an order over the phone because i never got a discount code i was supposed to get emailed to me
