Samuel, Moss Want To Stay In NE
4th February, 2008 - 9:31 am
Boston Herald -
Despite their shocking loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII, the Patriots will likely have the opportunity to re-sign free agent wide receiver Randy Moss and cornerback Asante Samuel this offseason.
"If my teammates could hear me now, I love all of you to death. Hopefully, we can have many more seasons to come, but if we don't, life goes on," Samuel told the Herald after the 17-14 loss to the Giants. "But I'd love to remain a Patriot."
"If I am in a New England Patriot uniform next year, I would love to be in one," Moss added. "If I am not, you know, the show must go on."

In a phone interview with the Associated Press, Vermeil had this to say about the new controversy surrounding the New England Patriots and spy tactics:
"Personally, I don't think it had any effect on the game," Vermeil told the AP. "That stuff's been going on forever and I don't think you gain from it.

Nope...the defense did work last night. Like Allen said, that o-line, who normally is good, let us down. Not blaming them 100%...but they get half the blame.

I would think so....Dude played out of his mind in his contract year....The question is has he turned a corner in his career??? Or was this simplyb/c he wanted a payday. You might want to be sure of that before you invest major dollars in him....
