New executive order
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/...one-new-regulation-two-must-be-revoked-234365

You ever wanted to open a small business? Now is the time.
95% of small businesses fail within 5 years.

and that's how it's supposed to be. life and success follow a power law and only those 2 standard deviations above the average will be providing an innovative good or service at the quality that people in a free market will want to spend money on.

yes we can bump it from 5 to 6 or 7 or maybe even 10% that will succeed, but let's be honest here: most people who try to start a business will FAIL.

welcome to capitalism, my comrade!

actually that's not even the most important part.

unless you are illiterate and dropped out of high school, you know what happens if the is no regulation on business. in a truly unregulated market, we tend towards monopolies.

who gets ****** the most by monopolies? small businesses. and consumers.

so now it's the worst time to open a business.

Yea I don't agree with the need for centralized leadership as long as there's backing from all angles like you mentioned, the former is usually the easiest way to kill a movement imo.

Yup, you saw how the Poor people's campaign never got off the ground the minute MLK was assassinated.

Facts. But less regulation makes HR easier. I've never been one to save failures. But I do know upfront regulations make people think twice about opening a business or making their current business legitimate.

I used to work at a bank. And I'd often have clients that I'd try and convince to open business accounts because of the tax legal benefits. But after a while I learned that by keeping themselves lowkey and keeping every payment as personal checks signed over to them, they avoided a lot of unnecessary regular.

The facts are where the facts are. The people who waste time digging for otherwise with no weight or reason behind it are wasting time and will be left behind.

Dry snitchin

Funny, my boy is from Philly but works in Jersey

But yea, our government screwed us over. Nonproifts had to take out loans to pay bills, schools shut down until money came in, people lost jobs, etc. And these same people got reelected, some was because they didn't have anyone running against them. Same crap on the national level. No way Toomey should've been reelected, dude is a spineless coward and a snake. Our budget right now isn't gon balance so we'll see what happens come June.

How's things w/ yall budget? My boy said Chunky boy screwed yall over as well, hiring freezes in some fields and all that.
It be like that sometimes:lol:

Man, it's been a financial nightmare in the city. Schools all over the city are closing, teachers are losing their tenure and being fired,  and the city is trying to negotiate paying people on a rolling basis to save money. Not to mention they passed the sugar tax law putting an extra tax on soft drinks. Not to mention officials like Fattah out here stealing money and giving contracts to campaign donors.

Meanwhile unemployment is high and gentrification is starting to kick off. So many of my friends have been effected by whats going on in the city. A few of them are thinking about moving.

:smh: Yall gotta make sure Christie doesn't get reelected. But I'm not surprised most of yall don't move, yall property taxes are ridiculous, almost makes me appreciate the taxes here in PA......almost

Not centralized leadership, but a centralized goal. The goal of BLM will vary slightly based on location and it seems that one location won't even know about another location or their efforts. They also gotta come out and denounce the crap they get accused for i.e. the cops getting shot in NY, the white kid getting kidnapped in Chicago.

Based on current anti-Trump protests, everything would indicate that it will far eclipse the OWS movement over time.

OWS lasted pretty long but the crowds we're seeing now across the US and even in other countries are massive in scale and numbers. On top of that, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving, for lack of a better term. He'll basically add fuel to the fire continuously.

Black activism has always been this fragmented free for all of different organizations with different ideas fighting the same battle but not wanting to link up. It just reeks of disorganization.

I have friends who are activists in BLM organizations all over and all of them are doing different work. Alot of em don't even focus on the policy platform that was instilled on the organizations main site. They're just doing their own thing under the BLM banner

I don't wanna get to deep into this because this isn't the black culture discussion thread, but I am growing disillusioned by what activism in our community is turning into; people who aren't really doing any grassroots work but are quick to take checks from orgs that our complicit in our current condition.

And with BLM being offered $100M by the ford foundation it makes me wonder how much their message will change if they take that money. They have a very radical policy platform. Money from outsiders can compromise that.

i hate unnecessary paperwork and hoops to jump through and i agree that it can be a deterrent to smaller businesses who can't just go and hire lawyers and accountants.

i just have no faith that the regulations that are removed will preferentially benefit small businesses.

i hope I'm wrong though.

Fulfilling campaign promises...

"The other thing with the terrorists is you have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives, don't kid yourself. When they say they don't care about their lives, you have to take out their families."

Goddamn the US was ruthless in their handling of Awlaki man...dude got killed along with his 16 year old son,who was a US citizen, in a drone strike a while back and now his 8 year old girl also got killed in an unrelated raid? Sheesh :x

Haven't heard much about the soldier who got killed though...lord know's we'd have never heard the end of it if a commando got killed covertly on Obama's watch.

Wasn't ever a fan of Obama's drone policy and I sure as hell won't support Trumps indiscriminate killing of civilians either

I read story awhile back about the war crimes being committed by Seal Team 6 (The team the seal that died was apart of). It was downright horrific.
