I need some help on repainting green bean 5's. I might buy these are these restorable? I need a cheap paint that can hold up well, I can't buy angelus though. I need something in-store available like in a cvs or something.

I just cleaned scuffs on patent leather. what i do is clean them with soap and water first. Dry. Then with the edge of a towel the thick part rub with a good amount of pressure. However if the are tears then black polish.

Suggestions?

Use some Suede & Nubuck Foam Cleaner on the suede part. Then whipe off the foam with a clean white towel after you lightly scrub it in. For the sole use some shoe polish it will clean the ashyness right off.

I restored my brothers Flu Games about 4 months ago and they looked alot like yours...made them look VVNDS.

A have two pairs that I have questions on, the black cat 3s and DMP 6s:

- How would you recommend fixing the midsole cracking on the black cats (I know it happened to everyone)? I've heard angelus (sp.) paint, but what is the correct process? Take the chipping paint off and then apply layers of the new paint?

- What would you recommend to fix the gold paint on the DMPs? I've read about using a gold marker of some sort, but I'm a little worried it won't match up right... these are kind of beat on anyway so I'm willing to take a chance on fixing them.

Thanks in advance for your help, I definitely appreciate all of the advice and help that you guys provide us with.

I repainted and fixed some Black Cats I bought on here.
Just remove all the paint from the midsole with some nail polish(thats what I used) or acetone(never tried it but heard its very effective). Be gentle and dont rubb hard when removing the paint or you might damage the midsole. Once all the midsole paint is remove and is dry put some tape on the areas around the midsole where you dont want any paint to accidently get on too. Then proceed to add layers of Angelus black acrylic leather paint. Make sure to do very thin layers and wait about 7 to 10 minutes between layers of paint. It should only take about 4 or 5 layers of paint. DONT overdo the layers of paint or they wont come out as clean.(Made this mistake when I repainted my first pair of Jordans).
Wish I took pics of how they looked when I first got the shoes but this is how mine came out after I was done:

P.S. SHOES NOT FOR SALE!....

Hope my info helps

Alexsal: Thank you very much for the response... I was a little wary to take off all of the midsole paint but I'm going to just go for it because the cracking on them is terrible anyway. I really appreciate the info and once I get around to painting them (in the next week or so) I'll be sure to post some pictures. Thanks again for the info, I REALLY appreciate it.

I have the same problem, anyone know how to fix this?

How do you go about cleaning the back heel tab of your Jordan 3's from blue jean stains? Now i'm using the magic eraser after every use but for the shoes like my white cement's, they have stains from a couple of weeks ago and I keep scrubbing them with the eraser but the eraser itself is breaking down and not really improving it. I can get it off leather but just not the rubber plastic back heel tab. PM me if you have any solutions it would be great. Thanks

Johnandrew07 suggested Lincoln EZ Clean

I've tried to find it in stores, but no luck. I'm eventually just going to have to order it online I guess. If that doesn't work we're going to have to find a way to darken the suede.

I heard people have just used blue angelus paint and mixed it with black angelus paint.
You can also try Sapphire paint. The Sapphire isn't exactly the same but it's the closest to just the base paint. I haven't personally repainted a pair of Military's but this is what I've heard from others who have restored their pair.

Ok so this post is half opinion and half shoe restoration question.  I'm restoring some OG white cement IV and obvioulsy the upper has some serious yellowing after all these years.  They are real leather but the leather does not appear to be painted.  More died than painted.  Basically I'm trying to decide if I want to return them to WHITE or leave them with the yellowing.  I feel like it would be hard to find a middle ground without painting the entire upper.  I don't feel like painting the entire upper with Angelous is the right decision but I am open to suggestions.  I have already stripped the old midsole and the donors came in today.  Obviously the donors are WHITE as white gets.  Basically what would you do?  Leave the patina of the yellowed OG midsoles or try to get them as white as damn possible.  I bought some Kiwi shoe whitener and some Kiwi Sport Whitener (those came in today).  Has anyone used these products?  Are they the best for whitening and upper?  I also bought some Meltonian white shoe cream and some Cadillac white refinish foam (be here a in a couple days).  What one would you choose if trying to whiten the entire upper?  Let me know if any of you have used any of these products.  Or would you just leave them yellow and try to yellow the midsole to match? Obviously I would decrease before the whitener but should I use the whitener before I put the new midsole back on?  I included some pictures below to show you what I'm talking about.  Thanks in advance for letting me know your opinions and please let me know if anyone has used these products in the past.

My white/cement 3s are creased but the rest of the shoe could pass for DS. I have put shoe trees in them and have stuffed them with plastic bags overnight but nothing seems to take out the giant fold in the toebox. At this point I'm willing to try to iron it out. I know this has been touched on before but too lazy to go thru every page. Can someone help me out and tell me the correct method for this? Thanks in advance

@hoardinjordANZ stuff the shoes with what ever you have. Make sure that when it is stuffed, they the creases are straightened out. At this point you should see no creases at all, or barely any.

Take a towel; make sure there aren't any bumps on the towel because that will affect the look of the shoe,
wet it with cold water and make sure there is a dry side
make sure the iron is at 7 - 8,
fold the towel,
have the dry side of the towel on the bottom and the wet side on top,
place the towel on top of the toebox and start to iron

it should have effect within 30 seconds of ironing

So the blue elephant print on my XI Lows has bled. Never seen this before and it sucks. Any ideas how to clean/fix this?

got some metallic v from 99 and they've been sitting on a shelf collecting dust
whats the best way to go about cleaning the dust?

@johnandrew07 thanks bro I'm gonna try this out when I get some spare time. 2 things though, do you mean the threading of the towel needs to be flat? can you be a little more specific and you mean to iron the wet side of the towel correct? Thanks again
